Introduction
Hey everyone! I just finished getting the new achievements in 1.6 and thought I would post a guide to help anyone else working on this. This post will contain spoilers for most of the achievements that need to be described in more than one sentence, but any spoilers will be put behind spoiler text like this! Hopefully this is helpful!
Achievements
A Distant Shore: This one is pretty easy and will be completed as the story progresses.

Two Thumbs Up: Another easy one, the achievement description tells you what to do.

An Unforgettable Soup: Get the best response from the Governor at the Luau! Check the "Potluck" section of the Wiki page[stardewvalleywiki.com] for the Luau to see what items you can use to get this achievement. Should be a piece of cake if you're more than a year in.

Blue Ribbon: You need to get 1st place in the Stardew Valley Fair. Should be pretty easy, especially if you're more than a year into the game. If you're struggling with this one, refer to the Wiki page[stardewvalleywiki.com] for the fair and check the "Grange Display" section to learn how to get enough points to win.

Infinite Power: I would imagine most people know how to get the Galaxy Sword, but I'll spoil how to obtain it just in case some newer players want to figure it out for themselves. Grab a Prismatic Shard and go to the Desert. You should see three pillars. You want to stand in the center of the three pillars while holding the Prismatic Shard. The shard should be consumed, and you should now have a Galaxy Sword! From there, you need to make the Infinity Blade. You need to get three Galaxy Souls from Qi's Walnut Room after obtaining enough Qi Gems. Bring the three Galaxy Souls to the Forge, along with 60 Cinder Shards, and enchant the Galaxy Sword with the three Galaxy Souls. You should now have the Infinity Blade and the achievement! It's possible to obtain the Infinity Dagger and Infinity Gavel (from the Galaxy Dagger and Galaxy Hammer, respectively, both of which can be purchased from the Adventurer's Guild after obtaining the Galaxy Sword) with the same method as well, but I'm not sure if these count towards the achievement since I did it with the Infinity Blade first.

Danger In The Deep: Complete the "Danger In The Deep" quest. You can get this quest from Qi's Walnut Room, but it's not guaranteed since it's only one quest out of several possible options. If you don't get it, just keep sleeping until it eventually shows up! You don't have to reach Floor 120 in one day, you have the entire week. Just bring bombs and food (which should be easy if you hoard Blackberries/Salmonberries).

Well-Read: This one can be a bit tricky! You need to read every book in the game, all of which are brand new. Check the Wiki page[stardewvalleywiki.com] about the new books to figure out how to get each one. Because the update is still new, the page isn't fully updated yet. I'll include the location of a few books that I found somewhere not listed on the Wiki:

I found Woody's Secret from the Bookseller. I found Jack Be Nimble, Jack Be Thick in an Artifact Spot on the Forest Farm (the Wiki doesn't specify which artifact spots can yield this book, but this is where I found mine. I have seen it in the Bookseller's stock as well). I found Book of Mysteries in a normal Mystery Box (as opposed to a Golden Mystery Box like the Wiki suggests. If you don't want to farm for Mystery Boxes, you can break a normal Mystery Box before a Golden one to change its contents (and vice versa). For example, if I break a Mystery Box and get a Sturdy Ring, I could reset to title, go back to Clint, break a Golden Mystery Box first, and then break the regular Mystery Box and get something different. I did a bit of testing, and I don't believe this will work with geodes - I'm fairly sure you can only use this strategy by breaking Mystery Boxes in different orders. The Friendship 101 book is in Lewis's Prize Machine like the Wiki says, so I would just do a bunch of Special Orders and participate in the Egg Hunt/Ice Fishing Contest to eventually reach the Friendship 101 book.

Good Neighbors: This one is fairly easy, only requiring a bit of a time commitment. Honestly it feels like the quest exists to teach players about some of the new crafting items. At some point in the game, a strong gust of wind should happen overnight. This happened for me a few nights after I started my main save file after 1.6 came out (which was in Fall, Year 4, but I would imagine the trigger for this quest should happen much sooner than that. I'm not entirely sure what or when the quest trigger is, though). Find the affected area and progress through the quests. It usually takes a few days after completing your current requirements before you get a new quest, which is where the time commitment comes in. I got this achievement after completing about 9 quests if I remember correctly. If you're looking for something more specific, I got the achievement after walking into Cindersap Forest when they had their seventh child.
Perfection
Perfection: Oh boy. If you thought the last few achievement explanations were long, you haven't seen anything yet. I'm only going to write about the new items required to complete this achievement, and I suggest that you check the Wiki page to see how to complete everything related to this achievement aside from the new items. To start, these are the new items you need to craft for this achievement:

The Anvil and Mini-Forge, which you unlock through Combat Mastery (from the secret room added in this update, located in Cindersap Forest). Treasure Totem and Mystic Tree Seed, both of which you can unlock through Foraging Mastery. Statue Of Blessings, which is unlocked with Farming Mastery. Challenge Bait, which is unlocked from Fishing Mastery. Statue Of The Dwarf King and Heavy Furnace, which you unlock with Mining Mastery. The Blue Grass Starter is unlocked from Qi's Walnut Room using Qi Gems. The Big Chest, Big Stone Chest, Dehydrator, Text Sign, Deluxe Worm Bin, Bait Maker, Fish Smoker, Mushroom Log, Tent Kit, Sonar Bobber, and Deluxe Bait are all acquired from either leveling up your Skills (so you may already have some) or purchased from vendors (I believe Pierre, Willy, and Robin should have most/all of them). The Dwarf might also have a new recipe to sell as well, but I could be misremembering that. It's worth checking their stock, at least. The most tedious recipe, in my opinion, is the Statue Of Blessings, which requires 999 Sap, 999 Fiber, 999 Stone, and 333 Moss. The 1.6 changelog describes a "new environmental 'event' in summer," which I believe might be the Green Rain event? It happened to me on the 7th of Summer (possibly the 6th or 8th, don't remember exactly), which makes Fiber and Moss more than abundant in Cindersap Forest, among other things. Definitely a good way to get all the Moss and Fiber you need, especially if you haven't cut down the trees in Cindersap Forest when the event starts.

Next, the new items you need to ship:

Smoked fish (put a fish into the Fish Smoker), Moss (grows on trees fairly regularly outside of Winter, and you can get plenty from the Green Rain event), Mystic Syrup (obtained from tapping a Mystic Tree which you can get from growing a Mystic Tree Seed), Raisins (put 5 Grapes into the Dehydrator), Dried Fruit (put 5 of any fruit other than grapes into the Dehydrator), Dried Mushrooms (put 5 of any mushroom into the Dehydrator), and then Carrots, Summer Squash, Broccoli, and Powdermelons (all of which can be obtained from the green Artifact Spots, or by purchasing them from your neighbors in the Good Neighbors achievement).

Now, the new fishing requirements:

The three new jellies, which I believe can be caught regardless of time, season, and weather. Not 100% sure, but I know for certain that all three can be caught in the Fall since that's how I caught mine (and am just assuming that the time/season/weather doesn't matter, since that makes the most sense to me). River Jelly can be caught in the river! I've caught one in Spring in Pelican Town, but generally had more luck fishing for them in the river at Cindersap Forest (although that's probably just a coincidence). Sea Jelly can be caught in the ocean. I caught mine on the pier coming from the tide pools, but I don't think it matters. Again, not 100% sure). Cave jellies can be caught by fishing in the Mines, and I believe can be found at any of the fishing floors. From my understanding, the jellies are all supposed to be pretty rare, so they may require a bit of luck, patience, or both. Finally, the Goby can be found during any season at the waterfall in Cindersap Forest. I found mine during Fall while it was raining, and have heard of others who caught theirs in Fall and other seasons without rain. Here's a photo reference of where to fish, thanks to this post[imgur.com] by u/Liaaaaa22

Finally, the new cooking item! Moss Soup, which only requires 20 moss.

You could also just reload a save file that had already reached perfection, walk up to the summit since the obstacle is already gone, and get the achievement that way since it seems to be locked behind reaching the summit rather than achieving perfection.
Conclusion
And that's it! There's nothing particularly tedious about any of these achievements if you had a save file that had already reached perfection. However, if you're a newer player who wants to complete all of the achievements, may Mr. Qi have mercy on your soul. Don't burn the candle at both ends, either. There's no rush to completing any of these achievements, so just have fun with it! The Wiki is still being updated and will be a great resource once the updates are finished. Best of luck!

vanesia357, the forest magic power comes from the cutscene with the wizard around the beginning of the game, it lets you read the junimo language (the seemingly random symbols you found when you first entered the community center)

thank you for the guide! its very helpful :espresso::tabbycat:

more on the jellies:

You can catch all of them in any season, I caught my cave jelly on floor 20 but I agree with the guide and assume you would be able to catch it on any other fishing level as well (level 60 and level 100) and they are luck based! so you'll be more likely to get them if your luck is good!
