Catching the jelly
In update 1.6, the collection of various fish was filled with three specimens: river, cave and sea jelly. So here's everything you need to know to stock up on them:

Sea jelly, as this name suggests, is caught in the sea. Accordingly, river jelly is hidden in the rivers and lakes, and cave jelly is hidden in mines at the level 20, 60 and 100, because this is where you can find a large lake. We advise you to stock up on deluxe bait and good tackles, since this catch is quite rare and you will need a lot of time.

There is a rare chance that jelly can be obtained as a loot from fish ponds.

Upd: I heard that jelly has a chance to replace trash, but I could not prove it. If this is the case, then it will be most profitable to catch jelly in reservoirs with an increased amount of garbage. For example, catch river jelly in a pond on a farm or cave jelly at the 100th level of the mines.

What are they for?
Naturally, after catching this rarity, you will wonder about its usefulness. Here are the possibilities to use jelly:

  • Eating
  • Replenishing the fish collection and receiving the corresponding achievements
  • You can just sell them at 125, 180 and 200 g (It is impossible to sell it to Willy, since technically it is not fish)
  • Completing some tasks in the fish ponds
  • Making a smoker (more information below)
Smoking
Along with the addition of jelly, a new mechanic was added to the game - smoking fish. The smoker recipe can be purchased from Willy for 10,000g. After that it will be available for crafting from three types of jelly and 10 units of hardwood.

Smoker allows you to smoke fish (consuming 1 unit of coal every time), which increases its selling price. The principle is similar to a сask, keg and preserves jar, which means this opens up the opportunity to earn extra money, especially during the endgame.

The end
Thats all! The guide was compiled by me and I will be glad to receive any support from you. Share any topics I might discuss in future guides, and I wish you success as you explore this amazing and wonderful game

I will add this information to the guide, but this fact is questionable

Libzena, yes, I heard about it, but I could not prove that jelly replaces trash. If this is the case, then it will be most profitable to catch jelly in reservoirs with an increased amount of garbage. For example, catch river jelly in a pond on a farm or cave jelly at the 100th level of the mines

Maybe I misunderstood your point, but I think if you aim to obtain "jelly" rather than fish, you should increase trash rate by NOT using bait or tackle. I remember reading it somewhere that jelly can sometimes replace trash:steamhappy:.

I could be misremembering, but I recall catching a cave jelly on Floor 100 while searching for Lava Eel.
