Tank Tracks

I love tanks, you too? If so, you can use my base tank track to build your own space tank. This system is light, very robust, fast (for a tank maybe) and drives like a real tank (...nearly).
To build this base was not easy and needed a lot of testing. I think in the future i can optimise it more, but the problem is, if you build something around it, the mass changes and whith this everything changes, so you must fine-tune it individual.


Type: small ship - tank tracks

Features:
- chain tensioner
- the chain keeps in position through teeth on it
- adjustable suspension
- it steers relatively fast (whith button 1 and 2)
- turbo (button 3)
- robust
- fast
- light
- no mods

If you want to copy/paste the tank, use the second tank with the red connectors attached, make sure these are locked and now you can copy it to any other world (don`t forget to delete all red parts ... i forgot them and wondered why the tank makes funny noises).

UPDATE:
I added a second track base, which is smaller than the other. It drives well but not as good as the big one (topspeed, climbing and optic are worse). Nevertheless, it`s smaller :)

It seems, some people think this is a mod, unfortunately it`s not, damn i wish tracks were in the game or someone makes a mod for it (... hm, but then there is nothing to invent....)

i subed this and i cant find it anywhere on blueprints

to fix exploding tracks u need to turn off block destruction, but it doesnt matter anyways because the system hes using to drive the sprocket is extremely glitchy and spazzes when you try to accelerate

there is actually a 2nd workshop item (a blueprint) of this, but 1 of the tracks seem to allways explode, really annoying

ive found a bug, loading up the world the track self destructs, its almost like they increased the diameter of the wheels slightly in there update or some weird conflict with the wheel update, i love your system this is just frustrating, and not confined to your system.text me for details.
