Dieing 8 times during one floor is possible in every floor you play. Later floors might proof easier to get this done because you get more bigger enemies which raise your Skullmeter faster to get 8x Skull Coins.

!!! PAY ATTENTION !!!
If you cleared the whole floor before camping and just have the two Towers left, DO NOT DIE CLOSE TO THE TOWER or you might destroy it by accident when you revive and won't be able to get killed anymore!

How to die 8 times and survive

I have done my run inside the 6th door (2nd door from the left) in which you have to fight the Giant Spider.

At one point during the level there are 2 Spawn Towers close to eachother, each spawning a "Not so big Boy". Do NOT destroy these towers because you will use them as your source for enemies.

As you can see on the following screenshot i have been busy at this spot for a while now, killing whatever spawns from these two towers but prefer to get the big boys often because they give a good amount of Skullpoints towards your Skullcoin.

Kiting is a good way to get more points, i am unsure currently if it also raises the Skullmeter faster or if the multiplier is just for the score. But while you are at it.. why not get a higher score than your friends? Your time is high as hell anyways. ;)

Get it done

Once you have your 8 Skullcoins collected (or less if you have died on this floor already) you just stand around and wait, wait to get killed by the spawning monsters. Revive and die again, until your achievement pops up like mine:

I am unsure if the achievement will pop when you do not have one more revive left.. as that would mean you only died 7 times and game over on the 8th ... but i am NOT the one to try it out, so i collected 8 revives to be on the right side.

Back in the days when i made this "guide" there was nothing like an "endless mode" ;)

Easiest way is to play endless mode and keep buying revive coins, once you reach 8 coins you can just die 8 times.

The way I did it was playing countless armies of mummies in the Sun King boss battle. I just kept getting kill streaks until I got enough skull coins to die 8 times. I wouldn't do it on Unfair, though. I did it on hard.

Fair enough :) But you should definitely update it. In Easy and Normal you can still revive with zero coins left as long as someone in the party is alive, but its a longer respawn timer (15 seconds I believe). In Hard/Unfair you must use skull coins to revive and cannot respawn without them.

@WNxArchmage back when i wrote the guide you needed skulls for revive in coop mode aswell. No clue if that changed meanwhile with the option to drop in and out during gameplay.

Option 2: play with a friend on normal or easy so you don't even need the skull coins to revive.

You don't need to revive to get the achievement. As long as your last death is your 8th on that floor, it counts. Then you have to redo the whole level, but it's faster when your goal isn't explicitly "die alot."

They are trying to say to get the 8 coins required this is the simplest way by farming. You will not get this running and gunning a level because at most you will have 3-4 coins at the end of a normal run.

Also, you don't have to die eaight times in a row, there are multiple areas to a floor and the "death run" for the early floors is a good way to rack up a couple quick deaths.
