Introduction
This guide will show you how to use Angling's infection to become superpowered!
Symptoms and Additional Effects
Symptoms come with additional effects that can have some amazing benefits. The strategy is to cure effects that are too hard to overcome and extend the effects you want to keep.

First gather the ingredients needed for curing symptoms and making medicine that will extend the duration of additional effects.

Increase symptom duration (and additional effect) for 24 hours by using Metalazal (lvl 1) which requires rotten potatoes and homemade wine. Rotten potatoes can be created by letting normal potatoes rot. Normal potatoes take 100 hours to rot (they still rot while asleep and travelling). Rotten potatoes can also be found in the city (the blocks around your house, the supermarket, downtown and farm) in hidden areas (requires batteries for Cody to explore) in the blank spots (no ? symbol in the block) in the mini game. Don't leave the potatoes in the fridge and be careful of sorting new potatoes with old potatoes or it will average out the rots times.

If you make sure to grow potatoes at the farm (make sure to the water them too), you should have enough potatoes to keep 4 or 5 effects on permanently. Also go inside the farm house each time you harvest to get 3 extra potatoes from Brandi. You can also trade two firecrackers to get more potatoes from her. Don't use potatoes for food or making wine. As long as you only use about 2 days to explore an area (making sure to do the event that reveals the next area), you'll always have tons of food and wine just from exploring each new area. Usually this will be in the form of starch. You can even use canned food for trading instead of eating.

Use your home garden only for herbs. You'll be fine with not watering them. Just wait for it to rain. You can also trade a firecracker for an herb at the survivor camp

Cure symptoms that might give you trouble but leave the additional effect by using Monoramine (lvl 2) or Adedene (lvl 3) which require alcohol and herbs.

You'll also want to get the enhancements for the tool and med bench that reduce the amount of items needed for recipes. Once those enhancements are in place, make all recipes in multiples of 5 for maximum savings. Do this as soon as possible!

Some of the effects require you to have decline events before they show up. Try to take at least one Mad and one Will decline effect. Speed and attack boosts will be the first to show up.

Must have effects!
Accurate [Mad]
All attacks are accurate (No need to wait and aim for attack to become accurate)
Increased Endurance [Will]
If there are not items in the backpack when Angling's traveling, it will not cost any time (Upgrade the truck to get more inventory slots and store your items there before traveling)

Really good to have effects!
Agility
+10% to movement speed (Does not stack with itself)
Light and Simple
+1% to movement speed for each empty backpack slot
Enhancement
+18% to attack (Does not stack with itself)

Other good effects
Mania [Mad]
Each time Angling or Cody are hit, Angling gets +5 to attack until combat ends
Hyperactive
Backpack slots +2 (stacks)
Impulsive Act
Angling's stealth speed +10%

Symptom Activation will help with this strategy, so make sure to select it if it appears as an option:
Symptom Activation [Mad]
While active, all symptoms (and addtional effects) timers are paused. Can't be extended (Watch out! it can be cured)

Didn't even through to use Metalazal like that, such a good idea!

There is one more useful Mad effect. Don't remember its name but with it Anling can't use any tools or weapons but ironically this also means, that she can open all kinds of locked objects with bare hands. Locker in the police station for example😉
