  STEAM calls it at least what it is - a simple demo. EPIC store calls it "Starter Pack" ,which is misleading and gives you a good idea about the marketing iOi utilizes.
  
  
  • Note: TLDR.. This Hitman 3 Tutorial demo is pointless
    ..because it shows you NOTHING of Hitman 3 or now World of Assassination. You just play the Hitman 2016 Tutorial in Hitman 3 engine. Essentially you INSTALL the full game, BUT everything is locked.. !!

    Before WoA Update in Jan 2023, the Demo made sense because it allowed players to transition from HM2->HM3 without paying again for content you already owned.
    But with World of Assassination (incl. Freelancer) out and HM1+2 removed from Stores, the Demo is a showcase/techdemo at best to see how it runs on your system.
    Few players who never played Hitman before might even enjoy ICA facility.
    But most players finished HM1+2, so there is no point starting below "HM3:WoA"

• Not always a significant visual upgrade: In many scenes, the difference between ray tracing and standard screen-space reflections is difficult to discern, because the game was already built with atmosphere and lighting/shadows in mind -- exceptionally well too.
  
  
• Artifacts can be present: Sometimes the ray-traced reflections can introduce artifacts or look worse on certain surfaces, such as ground reflections, where the older rasterized reflections are simply better.
  
  
• High cost: For the average user, the performance cost (Raytracing is very CPU-intensive) is too high for the limited visual gains, making the feature feel "worse" because it degrades the overall gameplay experience.

Note that there are a small amount of items/unlocks that are not carried over through this process,
either because they are linked to a purchase, e.g the suits unlocked through the HITMAN 1 GOTY Edition Escalations, or another related reason. Those items will be available in HITMAN 3 / World of Assassination when you redeem access to the associated content.
