ConVars:

Fire_Light (0-1)

Fire_Light_Players (0-1)

Fire_Light_Red (0-255)

Fire_Light_Green (0-255)

Fire_Light_Blue (0-255)

Fire_Light_Range (0-2147483647)

Convars will save.
Convars can only be changed by whoever is running the server.
Yes it works on singleplayer too lol.

Information:

This addon will create a dynamic-light whenever the hook EntityFireBullets is called, like a muzzle flash.

Works for both players and NPCs.

Works for mod weapons too.

Images taken with 255 R-G-B, 250 range.

Questions And Answers:

Why is a melee weapon creating light?
Did you know that most melee weapons actually fire bullets? It's true, usually they don't make a custom damage system and just use bullets.

Where is the brightness-mode setting?
It has been replaced with color options, you can simply set it to a darker/brighter color.

Why am I getting errors?
If you ever get an error, you can send it in the comments, and I'll fix what I can, thanks!

hey, would you be able to add a feature where you can blacklist certain weapons so they don't emit light upon use, once you learn more about modding I mean, no disrespect. Great work!

In all honesty I am not skilled enough to do that, however once I learn more about modding I'll likely update all my light addons.

There are ConVar's you can use in Console to change the color, they can be found in the addon description, simply mix the colors needed to create the yellow look you're wanting.

That is possible, but as it is right now, it is compatable with as many weapon addons as possible.

Would it be possible add an option to have the light come from the muzzle of the weapon instead of the base of the player?
