This guide will cover the achievements for Yohane the Parhelion - NUMAZU in the MIRAGE -
Of course, there will be spoilers for the game's story, and this guide will assume you're at least familiar with the game's basic mechanics.
Most achievements in this game are straightforward, but "Job Well Done!" requires some more in-depth coverage.
Currently, this guide covers the base game. If released DLC contains achievements, I'll come back to update it once I've gone through the content myself.

These achievements will be given to you while playing through the game's story, and are all Hidden achievements on Steam. None are missable.
If you're struggling with completing the game's story, try building a smaller deck by only taking strong cards and removing your basic "Attack" and "Guard" cards, as well as acquiring many charms by fighting Elite enemies, and using money from Treasure spaces to purchase them at the Shop. Try using Rest stops to Upgrade rather than heal, and I've found the "Little Devil" outfit to be the strongest, since it provides strong healing and a strong starting card, Whispers of Darkness, which you should upgrade quickly to decrease its cost to 0.

Nightwicked Hanamaru's Defeat

The majority of remaining achievements come in two categories.
One-off achievements for doing something special once, or cumulative achievements for doing a basic action many times.

First Victory
Won a battle for the first time.
This will happen during the game's tutorial.

First Shopping Trip
Purchased something at a shop for the first time.
Money can be exchanged for goods and services.

First Upgrade
Upgraded a card for the first time.
At a Rest stop, choose to Upgrade a card instead of Resting.

First Rest
Rested for the first time.
At a Rest stop, choose to Rest instead of Upgrading a card.

Fun on the Horizon!
Played an event for the first time.
You'll probably land on an event space sooner or later.

First Outfit Change
Put on a new outfit for the first time.
Before starting a run, go to the Closet and equip any costume.

Transformation!
Collected 2 outfits.
See OOTD for a list of unlockable costumes.

OOTD stands for "Outfit of the Day".
Here is a list of all outfits, and their unlock conditions:
Fortune-teller (Yohane's outfit) comes with D-d-d-darkness and the Yohane's Bag charm. Unlocked by default.
Maid (Hanamaru's outfit) comes with Future, zura and the Sleepy Hanamaru charm. Unlocked in the Ability Enhancement Exchange.
Little Devil (Ruby's outfit) comes with Whispers of Darkness and the Brooch charm. Unlocked in the Ability Enhancement Exchange. This is the strongest outfit, in my opinion.
Witch (Lily's outfit) comes with Reliable Partner and the Yohane's Staff charm. Unlocked in the Ability Enhancement Exchange.
Qipao (Kanan's outfit) comes with Diving and the Dog Mug charm. Unlocked in the Ability Enhancement Exchange under the name "China Dress".
Monster Mascot (Chika's outfit) comes with Monsters of Uchira and the Chika Badge charm. Unlocked from the Town Request "Challenge: Extreme mission 2" for reaching an Attack buff of 20. See "Job Well Done!" for tips.
Pirate (You's outfit) comes with Declutter and the Binoculars charm. Unlocked from the Town Request "Challenge: Extreme mission 3" for reaching 100 shield. See "Perfect Defense" for tips.
Arabian (Mari's outfit) comes with See the Future and the Crystal charm. Unlocked from the Town Request "Challenge: Mirror World Time Attack" for clearing an entire run to World 4 in under 75 minutes. See "Job Well Done!" for tips.
Traditional Beauty (Dia's outfit) comes with I don't approve! and the Dia Badge charm. Unlocked from the Town Request "Challenge: Hell's Marathon Training" for clearing a run without resting at a Rest stop. See "Job Well Done!" for tips.

Novice Fortune-Teller
Defeated 50 enemies in battle.
This will come naturally as you complete the story.

Fruits of Discipline
Defeated 150 enemies in battle.
This will come naturally as you complete the story.

Fount of Knowledge
Played a total of 1,000 cards.
This will come naturally as you complete the story.

Balance Master
Cleared all Mirror World areas using the Balance Style.
You'll need to complete World 4 using the "Balance" deck style.

Power Master
Cleared all Mirror World areas using the Power Style.
You'll need to complete World 4 using the "Power" deck style.

Another Perfect Adventuring Day
Cleared the Mirror World 10 times.
Completing the story will count as 5 clears, even though most story chapters do not go to World 4. The remaining 5 clears must complete World 4.

Teamwork!
Played 3 summon cards in one battle.
You can carry up to 3 summon cards, simply deploy them all at once to earn the achievement.

Ties That Bind
Played a total of 50 summon cards.
Since you can only carry 3 summon cards at once, use one whenever you're at full capacity to allow yourself to receive more.

Critical Hit!
Inflicted more than 50 damage on a single enemy in one hit.
The Power-style cards "Furious Demon Maru" and "Garden of Passion", as well as the Balance-style card "Shield Bash" are capable of dealing over 50 damage with a little setup. You may also utilise Defense Down debuffs to increase the damage you deal by 50%, requiring a card's base damage to be only 34 to deal 50+ damage. With this, the Balance-style card "Wild Rush+" deals 60 damage.

Perfect Defense
Gained a shield value of 100 or more in battle.
I've earned this incidentally utilising the Shiitake Badge (Gain 2 shield for each attack played.) and various Defense buffs from sources like the Astounding Tommy Badge (Gain 1 defense for every 3 attacks played in one turn.) and the Rabbit Mug (the same effect, but every 4 attacks), which naturally granted lots of shield only by playing attacks.
To achieve this more intentionally, the Power-style Dia card "Indestructible+" can double your shield for only 1 energy. Combine this with other high-shield cards like "Fallen Angel", "Good things come to those who wait", "Wall", or "Billboard" to easily reach 100 shield. In the Balance style, cards like "Leave it to me, Big Sis!" and "Exorcism Amulet" can provide defense buffs and shield, and "Recycle Queen" can duplicate a good shield generation card.

My Turn Forever!
Played 20 or more magic cards in one turn.
There are multiple strategies that will work, but I'll offer a simple one that works for me. The Power-style card "Final Curse Project+" is a 0 cost card that deals damage and draws 2 cards, at the cost of 5 health. With a deck size of less than 10 and a couple of other draw sources, it's possible to hold your entire deck in your hand, and simply spam Final Curse Project+ along with any other 0 cost card (that doesn't generate more cards) to infinitely draw itself. This works best against any World 3/4 boss, since they have the health to survive. In the Balance-style deck, "Lightning Flash" or "Smack Down+" will also infinitely draw themselves in a small deck with no energy loss.

Charm Maven
Obtained 100 charms.
This will come naturally as you play.

Walking Ornament
Obtained 20 or more charms in one play.
This should be easy enough after unlocking World 3, but as a reminder, Treasure chests always drop money and a charm, and you can use the money to purchase more charms at the shop. Elite enemies also always drop charms.

Treasure Collector
Found 50 treasure chests.
This will come naturally as you play.

Money Makes The World Go 'Round ♪
Collected a total of 10,000 yen.
This will come naturally as you play.

Job Well Done!
Completed all requests at least once.


This is the longest and most involved achievement, for a couple of reasons:

1. There is no in-game list of potential requests that you have never been offered.
   
2. Requests given to you a second time that you have cleared previously will disappear from your "Completed Requests" list until you clear them again.
   
3. Some of the Challenges are actually a little hard.
   
4. For some players, it's bugged to not unlock. welp.

So, naturally, here is a full but condensed list of requests that must be completed to earn this achievement, as well as tips for completing them. I've omitted the names for most requests, but included them for the ones that unlock charms or outfits.

Each story boss has a request to defeat it, which you will complete during the story. Many of these unlock cards, but they aren't missable so I don't need to go into much detail. See "Story achievements" for a set of basic tips.

"Town requests" are the top 5 slots in your request list, and completing one will rotate the next one in. This is a source of RNG, as the game will still offer you duplicate requests before you clear them all, although it seems some pity mechanism is in place, since I never went very long with all 5 of my available requests being duplicates. The 23 possible town requests are:

Defeat n enemies

• Defeat 15 Mikan-type enemies.
  
• Defeat 10 Crab-type, Bird-type, Octopus-type, Mountain-type, Bergatite-type, Lobster-type, or Lilium-type enemies.
  
• Defeat 8 Anima Doll-type, or Animagician-type enemies.

To be clear, each enemy type is a unique request that must be cleared at least once, I've simply grouped them by the number requested. There's not much you can do to speed this up, just complete runs while completing other requests.

Deck-building clear conditions

• Clear a run with 3 <girl> cards in your deck.

Where <girl> can be Lailaps, Ruby, Hanamaru, Chika, Riko, You, Mari, Dia, or Kanan.
Simple enough to understand, prioritise taking cards with the girls you need to build decks for. If you're worried you won't find enough in time, consider taking that girl's worse cards as well. Unless you're trying to force more than 2 of these missions at once, you shouldn't find clearing much harder. Remember to use the voice lines to tell who certain cards actually belong to. For example, "Mermaids" is a Riko card, but "Reliable Partner" is a Lailaps card.
Clearing these requests for the first time will unlock a corresponding Challenge request to play 100 total cards of the girl whose deck you just built.

Miscellaneous

• Land on Treasure spaces 7 times.
  
• Spend 5,000 yen at Shops.
  
• Upgrade cards 30 times at Rest spaces.
  
• Collect 10 charms in one run.

Landing on Treasure spaces and collecting 10 charms should be doable on any run, but you may need around 3 runs to upgrade 30 cards, and maybe even more to collect and spend 5,000 yen. Thankfully, none of these are difficult.

Challenge requests all have names starting with "Challenge: " (with one exception) and do not rotate out like regular Town requests. They will need to be unlocked, either by clearing the story, or clearing other requests. Challenge requests reward more Exchange points than Town requests, and some unlock new charms or outfits.

Cumulative challenges

• Land on Shop tiles 20 times.
  
• Land on Rest tiles 25 times.
  
• Land on Elite enemy tiles 10 times.
  
• Land on Elite enemy tiles 20 times.

Despite the name, these are not particularly challenging, simply landing on the correct spaces will complete the requests pretty quickly.

• Use <girl> cards 100 times.
  
• Summon <girl> 8 times.

Once again, <girl> can be Lailaps, Ruby, Hanamaru, Chika, Riko, You, Mari, Dia, or Kanan, and all 9 versions of the requests exist. The requests to use their cards 100 times are unlocked after clearing a town request to clear with 3 of their cards in your deck, and the requests to summon them 8 times unlock after beating their Nightwicked for the first time during the story. (The Lailaps request is unlocked by default.)

• Defeat Mirror Tonosama 8 times.

Mirror Tonosama can be fought as an Elite battle during Chapter 4 of the story, but is otherwise only found in Nightwicked Kanan's boss fight, potentially in World 2 after clearing the story (The World 2 boss can be Lily, Kanan, or Dia). There is no way to speed this request up, it may simply take a large number of runs.

• Win 10 battles with single-digit health remaining.

Depending on the player, this may come naturally, or might be one of the final requests you complete. After building a good deck that can consistently one-turn kill encounters, you can intentionally allow enemies to hit you down to low health to clear this without jeopardising your run too much. Charms that heal you after battle like Brooch or Hanamaru Badge may make your health harder to manage, but may also prevent you from losing after intentionally bringing your health low to clear this challenge.

One-Time Feats

• Collect 20 charms in one run.
  
• Collect 30 charms in one run.

These should be easy, but remember that charms can be obtained from Elite enemies or Treasure chests, and bought from the Shop.

• Defeat a boss on your first turn. Normal difficulty only.

You may find this request easy during the story where bosses have lower health totals, but if not, it's still very doable. Building a strong deck will finish most encounters in one turn, and the deck simply needs to be above average to defeat a boss in the same manner. My recommendation is to attempt this against Nightwicked You or Mari, World 3 bosses that summon minions you can ignore, and are weak to Defense Down debuffs. By the end of World 3, you've had ample time to build your deck and collect charms. Many strategies can work, but Defense Down is very strong here. Cards like Acrobat and Hell Zone synergise with said debuff, Garden of Passion+ can deal a ton of damage in one hit if you've been building it since World 1, and as in My Turn Forever!, Final Curse Project+ can allow a deck to go infinite, thus one-turn killing any encounter.

• Challenge: No violence! Win a fight without using any Attacks. Normal difficulty only.

This challenge unlocks the Gentle Wolf charm, which causes you to draw a card any time you take 3 or more damage.
You are allowed to use purple cards, which for lack of a better name I'll call "Enchantments".
This is best attempted with the Balance-style deck, using the Arabian costume unlocked from "Challenge: Mirror World Time Attack". The Crystal charm you start with from this outfit damages enemies every time you use a Moon-attribute card. If you can pick up Aurora's Blessing+, this also causes 6 damage to be dealt when a Moon-attribute card is played. Ideally, fill your deck with Moon-attribute cards early in World 1, and try to defeat an enemy that won't disable your spells, heal, or do too much damage. It may take several turns, but only one fight needs to be cleared in this manner. Needless to say, I wouldn't try it against an Elite.

• Challenge: Intensive Training for Continuous Punches Use 20 cards in a single turn. Normal difficulty only.

This challenge unlocks the Messenger charm, which causes you to draw 1 extra card each turn.

• Challenge: Extreme mission 2 Get an attack buff of 20. Normal difficulty only.

This challenge unlocks the Monster Mascot outfit, which starts with Monsters of Uchira and the Chika Badge.
As usual, there are a handful of ways to complete this request. Personally, I used the Power-style deck and focused on the cards "Do your Rubesty!+", which earns 3 attack for 1 energy if you can target an enemy forecasting an attack, and "Awakening+", an enchantment that simply gives 3 attack. "Strength Training+" can also grant 2 attack, but costs 2 energy. With multiple copies of these cards, you can stock attack in a reasonable timeframe. The "Astounding Marcy" charm and "Dog Mug" charm give +1 attack for every 3/4 attacks used in a single turn, so playing two "Do your Rubesty!+" and any two other attacks can give a total of 8 attack in one turn. Provided you find an enemy you don't kill, a couple of turns with this strategy should let you reach 20 attack. The charm "My Town's Fortune-Teller!" also gives a flat +1 attack at all times, and the charms "Sleepy Riko" and "Sleepy Chika" give +5 and +3 attack for being below 30% and 50% health respectively, which can help tremendously.

• Challenge: Extreme mission 3 Gain 100 shield. Normal difficulty only.

This challenge unlocks the Pirate outfit, which starts with Declutter and the Binoculars charm.

Conditions to clear under

• Clear with the Power-style deck.

Nice and straightforward. I find the Power-style deck stronger than the Balance-style deck.

• Challenge: Hell's Marathon Training Clear without resting at a rest stop. Normal difficulty only.

This challenge unlocks the Traditional Beauty outfit, which starts with I don't approve! and the Dia Badge.
Most of my runs don't need to rest anyway. At every rest stop, simply choose to Upgrade a card instead, and choose "Skip Rest" if Resting is your only option. To offset the lack of healing, the Little Devil outfit comes with the Brooch charm by default, healing you 12 health after any battle you finish under half health. The Hanamaru Badge also heals 6 health after every encounter, and the Power-style Hanamaru card "Chant" can provide a fair amount of healing by itself, especially on encounters with multiple enemies. Remember that the Hanamaru summon card will heal you, and the Dia summon card also heals you for 5 health each time you deal 10 or more damage while Dia's summon is active.

• Challenge: One is enough Clear with only one charm. Normal difficulty only.

This challenge unlocks the Mechanic charm, which turns any instance of 2, 3, or 4 damage you take into only 1 damage.
This is the single hardest challenge the game has to offer. Don't be surprised if this takes you multiple attempts, because charms are very powerful and missing out on them is a big hit to your capabilities. Yohane always starts with 1 charm, so you aren't allowed to pick any up for the whole run, unless you lose a charm via one of the event spaces, which is rather uncommon so I wouldn't count on it. As always, I recommend Little Devil's Brooch charm for access to healing. Taking some "Chant" cards will also make a big contribution towards staying alive. The biggest detriment this run applies is not being able to take the Emblems at the end of each chapter to get more energy. To combat this, the "Celestial Fallen Order+" enchantment is a 0 cost card that increases your energy gain per turn by 1 for the remainder of the battle, helping you actually play your cards. "Whispers of Darkness+" will allow you to play random attack cards for free as well, continuing to help alleviate your lack of energy. Beyond this, just make sure to keep your deck free of expensive cards, and as always remove your basic Attack and Guard cards to access your more effective ones. "The Hidden Power of Feathers" is a 0 cost card that does damage while applying Defense Down, making it very valuable, since "Stop, zura" in your starting deck costs 2 to apply Defense Down instead. "Final Curse Project+" is in my opinion the best card in the game, so as long as you have the healing, I would take it in almost every scenario. Under no deck size restriction, I also never see a reason not to take "Alright!", the You card that costs 0 to draw multiple cards and then Fades. My final asset in clearing this challenge myself was an early pickup of "Garden of Passion", which scales permanently with each use and could deal just shy of 100 damage by the end of the game. This challenge was the only time in the game I opted to take the temporary upgrades offered in the Exchange, starting with extra money for removal and card purchases, having 1 extra energy on turn 1, and swapping out one Attack and Guard for better cards. You should be able to win without these, but the option is available. I've also only described strategy for the Power-style deck, but you could certainly try using combinations like Cost Cutting, Recycle Queen, Illusion, Tochiman Hurricane, and Smack Down in the Balance deck, where Mobile Power Spot is a substitution for Celestial Fallen Order, for example.

• Clear with 20 or more cards in your deck.
  
• Clear with 30 or more cards in your deck. Normal difficulty only.

This is a simple enough restriction to work around. Just take any card you think is good. I would still recommend removing Attack and Guard and replacing them, since almost every other card is better value than they are. Buying pre-upgraded cards in the shop will help keep your deck "high-quality" with the relatively limited amount of upgrades you'll be offered compared to the size of your deck. Cards that Fade will also offer you the benefits of a slimmer deck while contributing to deck size, like Alright! or Diving.

• Clear with 8 cards or fewer in your deck. Normal difficulty only.
  
• Clear with 5 cards or fewer in your deck. Normal difficulty only.

The hardest part of these challenges is actually getting enough removal. Don't take cards unless they are absolutely necessary, and visit Treasure spaces often so you can afford removal at Shops. There are a handful of event spaces that allow you to discard as well. "Final Curse Project+" thrives in a small deck like this since it's guaranteed to draw itself, allowing you to easily clear other challenges like one-turn killing a boss or playing 20 cards in one turn. "Whispers of Darkness+" will give you access to a variety of attacks during combat without taking up deck space, should you need it. Cards that Fade, and going under 5 total cards is inadvisable since you'll run low on cards to actually draw.

• Clear with only Rare cards or lower rarity. Normal difficulty only.

This game has three card rarities. A white-plated "Common" rarity, a silver-plated "Rare" rarity, and a gold-plated "Ultra-Rare" rarity. Only "Rare" is actually named. Although many Ultra-Rare cards are strong, you can still make a strong deck without them as long as you remember not to take them.

• Clear Reverse-Numazu, Reverse-Uchira, or Reverse-Warshimer in under 20:00. Normal difficulty only.
  
• Challenge: Mirror World Time Attack Clear all four worlds in under 1:15:00. Normal difficulty only.

Mirror World Time Attack unlocks the Arabian outfit, which starts with See the future and the Crystal charm.
To clarify, each Reverse-World only needs to be cleared within 20 minutes of starting that world, and each challenge is separate. You don't need to finish World 3 within 20 minutes of starting the run. In the options, turn on Card Animation Skips to save a lot of time. Once you're familiar with the game and don't need to read as much text, these challenges should come naturally. If not, think faster.

Reverse Numazu Master
Obtained all achievements.
If you've followed the rest of the guide, you'll have this now!

As of v1.0.8, most achievements appear to be working, except "Job Well Done!", for some players. I don't know what conditions prevent it from unlocking, but patches have been rolling in. Please stand by.


This brings us to the end of the guide, at least until any DLC releases. Although most achievements are self-explanatory, the lack of information the game provides regarding Job Well Done! makes tracking what you've done and have yet to do a bit annoying, as well as the in-game challenges being the only things that need much strategy.
