Purpura custodes

Descrição
--This unit was made for my own use, for my Rome 2. Though i thought others might like it. It is safe for all save games and compatible with anything, and always will be.--

Hello! i am Sir Eggmond, and here is a new unit I’ve been baking, and now comes fresh out of the modding oven, careful it's hot and full of crumbly goodness.

A very particularly chosen unit of praetors, in ceremonial war gear. A combination of squid ink and elder berries have been used to dye their gear a dark royal purple. A sign of their status. The ceremonial praetors of the general.

They are a heavy offensive sword units that are available for Rome. Based on the Praetors of Rome 1.

They are in custom battle and campaign, and can be recruited from royal barracks (military main, tier 3 and 4) and more buildings if needed.

.And if all goes to plan, as generals bodyguard! To all the emperors in the emperors edition.

Good on offense, They have all the abilities they need, and have a nice Rome 2 look. They are pretty much my Aquilis Praetorianis unit, but buffed alittle more and purple. Plus, brand new armor from the new update.

And my favorite part, their uniforms are the divine shade of purple i have such an obsession with. As they are my own personal guard, for my own campaigns.

As always, feel free to leave any feedback or suggestions and also, feel free to click my shared files and check out my other mods like the Spartan glory guard, candy land infantry and many other weird and epic units! thank you!

UPDATE-- I made the purple darker and more rich. See the last few pics in the list to compare.

UPDATE -- Added new praetorian eagle shields.

@dylantwalsh
Why would that process need to be automatic, when the player can simply select the general's bodyguard? Sounds like something that would require a lot of coding for a rather tiny feature. Seems overcomplicated.

I'm working on revival mods with a few friends to try and update a few

It would be cool if they automatically are standard for Emperors. Not sure if that was implemented. Although I rather cavalry units for general units

I forgot all about this mod. When I get home I’m going to redownload and hope it still works.
