Description
Overview

The first fallen child of the underground, Chara Dreemurr, has joined Rivals of Aether! Prove your determination and FIGHT until not a soul remains.

Chara is a tried and true rushdown character, with no projectiles to their name. Despite being a sword character, Chara has notably small range, requiring you to really get up close and personal with your opponents to deal damage, but with a devastating advantage state when you do so.

Neutral Special: SAVE & LOAD

Pressing neutral special on its own won't do anything, in order to use this move, it must first be pressed during another attack. Doing this will SAVE the move being preformed at the time, canceling you out of it and returning to a neutral position. When you SAVE a move, it gets stored, and the next time you press neutral special, it will LOAD the move, having Chara immediately preform it. This can be done during any attack as well, letting you cancel directly into your saved move. This also allows you to do things such as using your tilts or strong attacks in the air. Use and abuse your control over the timeline to create combos and confirms that the less determined would never even think possible!

Forward & Up Special: Swift Cut & World Ender

These moves on their own are fairly simple, taking after Ike's Quick Draw, and Marth's Dolphin Slash respectively. However, they have interesting properties when used in conjunction with SAVE & LOAD. Using neutral special to SAVE forward or up special will put you into pratfall. Alternatively, using neutral special to LOAD a move out of forward or up special will put you into pratfall after the loaded move concludes only if that attack does not hit anyone. Through this, you can take a risk to potentially reach opponents that usually would be too far away for Chara's to chase down.

Down Special: Spark of Determination

Using Chara's down special will cause them to place a Spark of Determination down onto the stage. Pressing down special again while it's out will teleport you to the spark. However, there's more at play. Hitting an opponent into the spark will return them to the spark's position after a period of time passes. Use this to keep opponents locked down, as an extra recovery tool, or as a way to set up into other moves by teleporting to a spark and immediately loading a saved attack!

@devs, any chance you can add/modify a skin into being Frisk but with the Real Knife instead of the Worn Dagger? The closest is the 'Genocide' skin on Frisk style, but in the murder run Frisk does not physically transform into the fallen human.

@Freezerpop123, that is not confirmed. The 'old lady' Sans refers to is Toriel; he's apologizing to her rhetorically since he's about to try to kill the protagonist in violation of his promise to her to protect them. (He also by inaction violates it on every other route, but the murder run is the only one where he does it actively.)

You can also change her (Confirmed by Sans) to Frisk by clicking on the stick.

Wait, Sai implanted those cheat codes!? Now I know why I cant find sais characters. Some time ago, I was up against this Sai version of Chara and she kept parrying at a point it felt inhuman, if thats true (Which I believe it is) then it makes sense.

Also this Chara feels so good to play... Unlike sai version...

damn how much of a skill issue do you have to have to sneak in a parry cheat thing into every one of your characters :golem: like i may suck at rivals(and blame other stuff) but that??? damnnnnn

i ain't a part of the drama tho and i don't wanna stir up what bad memories people likely have of it so i'll keep it at that - probably should talk about the character itself anyways
