Killing a buffalo with a 22Lr bullet at 230 m is like throwing a toothpick at a tank and destroying it.
It's either a one in a million shot or it was Chuck Norris with a BB gun

My guess is the class of ammo vs the class of prey. Maybe there is a penalty for using the wrong type of ammo and that penalty increases the greater the gap in class rating there is.

I think it's because you hit the jaw not the skull. If thats not why, I gots nothing :/
