Descrição

"Sincerely reverence the three treasures. The three treasures, viz. Buddha, the Law and the Priesthood, are the final refuge of the four generated beings, and are the supreme objects of faith in all countries."

Shi tennō-ji was built in 593 as the oldest officially-administered Buddhist temple in Japan. According to Nihon Shoki, when Prince Shōtoku, a supporter of Buddhism, fought against the anti-Buddhist Mononobe clan, he carved statues of the Four Heavenly Kings of Buddhism out of nurude (nutgall wood), and made a vow to build a temple to house the Four Heavenly Kings if he could defeat the Mononobe clan. The temple that was built after the victory was Shi tennō-ji, literally Temple of the Four Heavenly Kings. Shi tennō-ji was not only a symbol of the rooting of Buddhism in Japan as the state religion, but its symmetrical architectural pattern also profoundly influenced the architectural style of Buddhist temples in Japan. Shi tennō-ji has been destroyed and rebuilt in many natural and man-made disasters over the years, and now the temple has been reconstructed, in steel and concrete, to recreate the architecture of the Asuka Period.

Shi tennō-ji

Grants an Apostle, a Missionary, an Inquisitor and a Warrior Monk. Religious units and Warrior Monks receive +50% flanking bonus and do not suffer combat penalties when damaged. Must be built adjacent to a Holy Site district with a Temple, and you must have founded a Religion. +4 Faith Unlocked at the Feudalism civic.

Supports English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and Japanese.

Notes

Only the iconic five-storied pagoda was included in the wonder model for the moment due to size and graphic issues. Additional buildings might be added in the future.
The name of the temple cannot be properly shown on Steam page description for obvious reasons.
