Introduction:

With the online services that were shut down on October 1, 2022, you no longer have acces to DLCs. But fear not, with this guide you can have unlock them, without Uplay.

Improvements:

The following "patch", comes with some extra benefits, besides the DLCs, like for example:

+Improved shadow map size from 1024 to 4096.
+Draw distance maxed out for buildings, peds and flags.
+Enables UPlay bonuses - Auditore Crypt, Altair robes, extra knifes, bonus dye.
+Added support of all XInput controllers.
+Added detection of hotplugged controllers.
+Gamepad and kb/mouse controls work at the same time.
+Added ini setting for enabling PS3-like controls.
+Added ini setting to skip intro videos.
+Options configurable in .ini file.

The only "downside" is this (but, don't worry, I have the solution for this "problem", as well):

- Removes support of DirectInput controllers. Use of a DirectInput to XInput translator such as XOutput - https://github.com/csutorasa/XOutput is recommended if using a DirectInput only controller.

How to install it:

1.Download Ultimate ASI Loader: https://github.com/ThirteenAG/Ultimate-ASI-Loader/archive/refs/heads/master.zip
2.Put dinput8.dll from Ultimate ASI Loader into your Assassin's Creed II directory.
3. In your Assassin's Creed II directory create a folder named scripts.
4.Put EaglePatchAC2.asi and EaglePatchAC2.ini into a newly created scripts folder.
5.Done! You may want to check EaglePatchAC2.ini for any settings you want to enable or disable.

Does that work even after I buy the game now, I mean I already refunded when I saw the end of service back in the day. I love AC2 and ACB I hope I play them again as the new games not that good anymore so will it work on the standard edition. also if it does will it count the achievements in other games mods close the advancements.

I've followed this tutorial, and after 8 hours of playing it's working like a charm. A few things to note, however:
1. The link for the Ultimate ASI Loader is somewhat innacurate, as it contains a large number of files but not the dinput8.dll one. I was able to find the proper download through the PC Gaming Wiki link though: https://github.com/ThirteenAG/Ultimate-ASI-Loader/releases/download/v4.68/Ultimate-ASI-Loader.zip
2. Make sure you have a zip file program that can work with a .rar file, like WinRAR.
3. Even with this patch, you will still need to create a Ubisoft account to actually play it, and it will ask this on startup via a UPlay popup. You can create one through ubisoft.com and creating a Ubisoft Connect account. It should work for the popup.
Other than this, the tutorial covers everything, and as I've said, the game's working like a charm. There is some stuttering when I open the map, though that may be the map size setting in the .ini file. Hope this helps
