Alien Isolation Cutscenes remastered

UPSCALED CUTSCENE MOD

In-game cutscenes have been upscaled and interpolated from 1080p 30 frames per second (fps) to 4K 60 fps, then downscaled to 1440p and re-encoded at an improved bitrate for cleaner and more detailed viewing experience.

This guide is to raise awareness of the mod and give installation guidance

The Cutscenes in Alien Isolation have been upscaled from 1080p/30fps to 4K/60 fps, then re-encoded at an improved bitrate to make them shine on modern UHD screens.
Installation
This is a manual installation, so be sure to back up the original videos.

1. Download the mod from Nexus Mods:
https://www.nexusmods.com/alienisolation/mods/54

2. Navigate to your game video directory e.g G:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Alien Isolation\DATA\UI\MOVIES
3. backup the ".USM" files elsewhere
4. Extract the 7z mod file into your video folder above.
Notes
  • All original language options are preserved, however subtitles are no longer available.
  • Retro/low quality cutscenes have intentionally not been remastered or interpolated to preserve the intended effect.
