Building your Research facility!
First, decide where you want to build your Research facility! Do this by first deciding what age range of Reaper leviathan you want to study.

You can find adult Reaper leviathans in the Mountains or near the Aurora. Younger Reaper leviathans can be found in the Dunes but staying away from the Void, since they hatch underneath the sand or rock walls of the caves. The Mountains is a Reaper leviathan breeding ground, it's un-observed but they can travel through the sand using their four tusks and sharp rows of teeth and travel underground to the Dunes when ready to lay their eggs. The leviathans at the Aurora are older and more aggressive, and I recommend not starting there.

Now that you've chosen your age range, you need to make sure that you place your Research facility in a place where Reaper leviathans will be seen rather frequently!

I recommend the Dunes Sinkhole for younger Reaper leviathans, behind the Aurora if you want to risk their aggressiveness, or near the Void drop off in the mountains for more friendly adult leviathans.

To build the actual research facility use a large room for storage, a multipurpose room for headquarters, a glass covered multipurpose room above that for observing, and a scanner room for camera control and tracking. Make sure you keep your HUD chip firmly placed in your suit.
How to respectfully handle your subjects
Do not exit your base, instead use the cameras to explore. Reaper leviathans can pick up the sound-waves of vehicles and it may mess with their breeding patterns and hunting, as well as make them more hostile as they'll see you as prey. Remember, Reaper leviathans have bad eyesight!!

Your camera can go a max distance of 300 metres before it starts glitching, if you've properly placed your facility then it'll be plenty close enough to the leviathans that you wont get your camera lost. When handling your camera, keep a respectful distance from the Reaper leviathans as to not accidentally crash into them and cause them harm.

If a Reaper leviathan is being a bit rowdy and crashing into your base, you can use your Stasis rifle on full blast around your building to chase it away.
Reaper leviathan biology
Reaper leviathans, despite being an average of 180 feet long, have almost no brain. Despite this, they aren't just aggressive monsters like some divers may have you believe. They're capable of affection towards their mates, and only hunt when hungry, albeit that they need to eat 4 times a day to survive(Once every 6 hours).

They have 4 flexible talons with sharp bones on their heads, these tusks are meant to grab hold of prey such as Gasopods or Bonesharks while the leviathan's sharp row of teeth bite their prey in half.

Reapers have bones with nerves connecting from it's brain to it's eyes, when its loud roar crashes against something then the leviathan will know something is in front of it. At that point, it can use the ''wrinkles'' around it's mouth to see if the object is living by detecting heat from it.

They have sharp teeth that can vibrate back and forth to dig into sand, while it's tail swishes behind it and covers up any trace of where it came from. This is mainly useful to get between their breeding ground in the mountains and the Dunes where they give birth.

Reaper leviathans give live birth and have a gestation period about as long as a horses, 1 year. They stay in the mountains until they're ready to give birth.
Our currently named resident Reapers!
At the time of you signing up for this job, breeding season is in progress and most Reaper leviathans are in the mountains.

Morbidosi is a 182 foot long male Reaper leviathan who is currently in the mountains for Breeding season. Based on his vision, he appears to be around 4 years old(Middle age). He has a slightly darker shading of blue on his skin, and resides around the middle of the Mountains(The closest Reaper leviathan to when you take your teleportation gear to the mountains)

Amica is a 176 foot long female Reaper leviathan who sticks to the Dunes sinkhole. She is less than 1 year old has more green-tinted eyes and guards the sinkhole with a very territorial manner. However, despite this, she doesn't seem to mind our current Research facility near the area.

Veloce is a 180 foot long male elder Reaper leviathan in the Aurora area. He's 7 years old and no longer goes to the mountains for breeding season. Due to being older, he could be easily defeated by any 5-6 year old leviathans in the crash zone, and therefor he stays closer to the Safe shallows. Currently, Veloce is the furthest from the Aurora and near the back of the ship.

Bella is a stunted 170 foot long female Reaper leviathan who strangely lives near the mountain island. It's unsure if she's stunted due to the cramped area of the mountain, but she also appears to never go to Breeding season, and she's the kindest of the leviathans. She's approximately 2-3 years old, and can be a bit rowdy.

I would like to know these things about Reapers...

average age
approx. mating season start and length
gestation period
territorial disputes

These things are nagging at me.

The spectroscope analysis says that Reaper Levis are 90m long, not 180m.
