Okay so pretty much, there is a way to make the gold watchers stuck on the staircase inside the manor, and with there being 7 of them it can be fairly time consuming.

I noticed multiple times that the middle of the staircase can get you stuck, and the only way to get past is by maneuvering through. However, the Gold Watchers aren't as smart as you and will just stay stuck.

In order to do this you have to pull a lever in the manor, and simply go back down the stairs. You then have to look away and look back multiple times until one gets to you. With their being so many around the map, and with them being able to know where you are at all times you will have to run around the Gold Watchers that do go down the stairs. But some Gold Watchers will get stuck on the balcony above the entrance, In order to get them down you have to stand under them, and simply walk them to the staircase. Once they're all down to the entrance all you have to do is walk up the stairs and they shouldn't be able to follow you. I've only done this once so I don't know if I was lucky or not.

With all the Watchers being stuck on the staircase, you may wonder, "How do I collect the ring piece and leave the manor?" The way you leave the manor is simply don't die to Malak, run around the balcony to make sure Malak can't catch you, and run of the railing of the staircase. This should allow you to be able to get the ring piece and look at the Gold Watchers at the same time. Once you get the piece all of the original 7 Watchers, 5 additional Watchers, and Malak should all disappear and you can leave the manor.

This only works for the second zone, as the first zone area only has two staircases, neither of which a Watcher can get on. So you should look for a different guide for the first zone and escape sequence.
