Little introduction thingy...I guess.
So, you're here to learn about all of the newt altar locations...obviously.
Well this guide will teach you just that! If you somehow didn't know already.
Also, sorry for bad writing or english.
Oh and also, if I somehow forgot to put one of the altars, let me know!

Distant Roost ver.1

The first stage is distant roost (the first version).
This stage has only one newt that I personally hate a lot, and you're about to see why.

Yep, sometimes it can be locked behind a door, but don't worry...well...if you're playing as mercenary at least, because you can actually clip through the door with your abilities (kinda cool), so as long as you're playing as merc this shouldn't be a problem.
Anyways.
If the door is unlocked, or you just nocliped through it, the newt can spawn behind this pillar.

The next newt is also kinda dogs*it because the bridge that leads you to that platform can not spawn sometimes, but if you can get past it (or if the bridge just spawned) the newt can spawn behing this rock.

The last, and certainly the most fair out of them all is this one that spawn on those rocks that are located at the end of this hole, so as long as your brain is not seriously damaged, you should make it.

Getting out will result in taking some fall damage if you don't have a way out, so don't die you idiot.

That's all the newts for this stage (or at least for this variant of it).
I don't think memorizing 3 newts is that hard honestly, so I give this stage a 6.5/10 (when it comes to newts).
Distant Roost ver.2

Alright, here goes the same stage, except it's a little different this time, and its newts aren't as bulls*it and RNG based.
How exciting!

So the first newt is pretty simple, it should be under this little arch.

The next is another simple one, this time it's on the top of an arch.

The last, and worst is again, behind a door, and guess what.

The door can be locked...again. So if you're not mercenary, and it's in there, then you're pretty much screwed.
Once you get in it should be pretty easy to find.

So this stage is deffinitely better than the last with its newts, so for that I give it a score of 7.5/10 and a golden star!

Titanic Plains ver.1

Here goes my favorite first stage, titanic plains, this stage is pretty cool.
That's all I have to say about it.

The first newt should be pretty easy to spot, it's on that giant arch thing.

I guess if your survivor has no mobility or abilities that can get you up there then you can't get it but idk.

The next newt is under this bridge.

Another simple one is on the top of this hill.

And lastly, this one spawns all the way up there, so good luck getting it.

Overall, this stage has only one newt that is somewhat hard to get, so for that, this stage gets a solid 8/10 with its newts.
And also probably because i like it so much.
Titanic Plains ver.2

The worse version of titanic plains, or at least the one that i like less (it's still fu*king awesome).

This stage's newts require some more mobility, so if you're playing duos or trios (or more), and you have a loader or mercenary in your team then they should be getting most of the newts here.

So the first newt, and also the easiest is right next to this arch.

The next is on top of this hill.

And the last one is at the top of this arch.

So that was another stage, pretty simple one, and my score for this one's newts is a 7/10
Not a bad one for sure.
Siphoned Forest.

Siphoned forest, my least favorite stage 1, and it's for 2 main reasons:
1. The newts.
2. Idk why, but blind pests kinda suck on stage one imo.
I do like however how this stage looks like, it doesn't beat rallypoint delta when it comes to a snowy area tho.
and I guess it's kinda fun to grapple around as loader here.

Alright, back to the newts.

The first newt is in this little cave, and you guessed it.

It can be fu*king blocked off by some random s*it, AGAIN.
And idk if it's just me, but on this stage it happens more often than on the others.
If you do manage to get in it should be pretty easy to find.

Anyways, the next one is on top of that tree.

And...well...good luck getting all the way up there, especially on stage one, where you don't have any mobility, or items yet.
An even for loader and mercenary it's quite hard to get up there this early into the run, not impossible tho.
And the last and the least bulls*it out of them all is located right here.

4/10 for the newts, that's all im gonna say.
Verdant Falls.

The new stage introduced in the devotion update, the update itself was pretty mid, but the stage is probably my favorite stage 1 so far.

The first, and easiest newt to find is in the underground section of the map.

It should spawn right here.
It's also the first one that I found btw.

The next is behind this waterfall.

You can easily get there by walking on the big vine (or root).

And the last (and worst) is on that rock shelf.
Also good luck trying to get there as some survivors.

Also I wanted to say that this stage has a "guaranteed" scraper on the top of the broken ship.

But of course, it can sometimes be replaced by a large chest instead.

A pretty good stage overall, as I said earlier.

I give it a score of 9/10 ig.

Wetland Aspect.

The first stage 2 we're gonna talk about is probably one of my favorites, wetland aspect.
Yeah I just like it, not gonna say too much again, cuz this guide is about newt, and not about my opinion on every stage.

The first newt is at the top of this tree.

And unlike siphoned forest, you can actually just climb onto it using the other tree next to it.

Next is this newt that's on top of this cliff.

And sometimes you can just use the bouncepad thingie to get on, but sometimes it's locked behind a wall.

And lastly, my favorite newt is in the water right here.

Surprisingly this stage has only 3 newts for being this complex, and I give its newts a score of 9/10.
Abandoned Aqueduct.

This stage is also very solid, but there's one problem, and that problem is that I don't like sand.

Anyways, the first newt is the easiest to spot, and also, from my observations, it spawns quite often.

Next newt, that has a guaranteed spawn is this one in that giant skeleton.

And, surprisingly, you can actually get up there normally, by just going along this path.

And lastly, the most forgettable newt of all is this one on top of that wall.

Again, only 3 newts, but that makes this stage a lot better cuz you're gonna spend quite a lot of time looking for the 2 buttons anyway (if you don't know their spawn locations)

Oh, and I give this stage's newts a 8/10 ig.
Aphelian Sanctuary.

Aphelian Sanctuary, a top B tier stage for sure.
It may not be my favorite, but it's definitely not the worst.

The first newt is down there in that hole in the wall.

Next newt is under that bridge.

And lastly, we have this one, and..well.. do I really need to explain why this one is complete dog*hit?

This stage is decend when it comes to newts I guess.
It gets a 6/10.
Rallypoint Delta.

Rallypoint delta is without a doubt my favorite stage 3 in the entire game, mostly because of how amazing it looks, and if you're quick enough you get a free Preon's accumulator.
And also both the newts are VERY easy to find.

So, the first newt is behind that tree.

And the last one is behind this rock, very simple, I know.

The fact that this stage has only two newt altars, and that they're not locked behind some RNG bull*hit, makes this stage a 10/10 for its newts, and a 10/10 in general.

And also here's a second screenshot that I took, cuz I didn't know which one to choose.

Sulfur Pools.

Next up we have sulfur pools.
This stage exists, to make you suffer, it smells like s*it in here, and don't get me started on those sulfur pods.

The first newt is on that platform under the bridge.

Next we have this newt that spawns on top of that rock with those kind of egg looking things.

And last, but certainly not least, we have this one under the platform.

The newts on this stage aren't as terrible as the stage itself, 8/10.
Scorched Acres.

Scorched Acres is the last third stage we'll be talking about.
And it might be the only stage that can spawn multiple newts at once (not including the guaranteed one).

The first newt, and the one that has a guaranteed spawn rate, is located on that cliff.

it should be right here.

Next one on this cliff.

Right here.

And, surprise surprise, the bridge that leads to this part of the map can randomly decide to not exist.

Last newt spawns under this platform.

Probably my favorite stage when it comes to its newts, probably because of the fact that two can spawn at once, and they're quite accessible. 9/10 newts.
Sundered Groove.

My favorite stage 4 when it comes to visuals, but besides that, it's the worst xd (not bad tho).

It's newts are allright, I guess, i dunno.

The first newt is on a mushroom at the top of the tree.

Next one is inside this giant ass log.

And last one is right there in the underground section of the map.

That's all the newts...yay....7/10...wahoo...

Abyssal Depths.

Idk how our lovely RoR2 crew got to hell, but im digging it.
It is however quite hard to remember the layout of the map, cuz it's all just red and stuff.

The first newt is on top of that crystal hanging from the ceiling.

The next newt is in that cave looking area but guess what.

THE DOORS CAN GET CLOSED AGAIN BABY YEEEEEES WE'RE BACK TO THE FU*CKING CLOSING DOORS AGAIN LET'S GOOOOOOOO.

If you do stumble onto a closed door you can just jump onto the little platform above the door.

And the newt should be right here.

And if you do manage to get the door open and get inside the newt is hidden in that crystal.

So, one newt locked, two newts not.
Not bad, I give it a 7/10.
Siren's Call.

So now we're out of hell (if you're reading this guide in the correct order) and now we're onto the siren's call, a.k.a.The Ship Graveyard (spooky).

Did I mention that you can get a free red on this stage? I know. Sick af.

The first newt is under this ring thingy.

Next newt is all the way up on that metal box.

Did I mention that the way to it can sometimes...NOT SPAWN?????

The last newt is in that hole on one of the spikes.

If you have at least 5 working braincells and minimal experience in platforming you'll get it without a problem.

Those were the newts.

8/10

Sky Meadow.

The last stage in this guide is sky meadow, the only stage 5 in the game, or at least at the moment of writing this guide.

The first newt can be found under this rock.

Next is behind this rock.

Another is right there.

There's another one right here, next to that hole.

And the last one is next to another hole.

This stage may have the most newts out of all, but all of them are very easy to get, so this stage gets a 9.5/10.

Little outro thingy...I guess.
So now, you can say with all pride that you know all of the newt altar locations.
Or at least I hope.

I also wanted to thank you for reading all the way through this (or at least some of it), this guide was a lot of fun to make, and I'd appreciate if you'd leave a like, and share this with your other RoR2 buddies.

Thank you, and have fun with the lunars.

Just realized you already mentioned the scorched acres one, but ye
Geo 28 Apr @ 2:22pm
btw, rallypoint delta and scorched acres both have a guaranteed spawn location. Rallypoint delta's is on the highest point under a cargo container, and Scorched Acre's is at the end of the giant cliff by the lower spawn point.

"Did I mention that you can get a free red on this stage? I know. Sick af."

Fun fact, every fourth stages in the game (the 3 of them) have a guaranteed legendary chest / red drop :
- The alloy vulture nests to destroy (6 of them) for siren's call that spawn the "Alloy worship unit" (a big ball) who drops a red every time.
- Legendary chest in a little alcove on ground level for abyssal depths.
- Legendary chest in one of the 5 possible spots in Sundered Grove, look for the glowing small pink mushrooms.

You probably already knew this but maybe other don't so i thought I'd mention it.
Love the guide btw it's really handy :praisesun:
