Endings
The endings are in order. Bold endings are considered true endings.
  • Chicken Hero: Defeated by Si Chen (Rooster in Nameless Village)
  • Unfavourable Start: Get beaten up by enemies (ones that do not kill you)
  • Starving and Desperate: Be at 0 Stamina for a longer time
  • Death by Poison: Get poisoned, duh.
  • Brought to Justice: Complete the Rescue Mission 10 times while part of Swallow Nest. Return to the Swallow Nest and lose the subsequent fight.
  • Surgical Execution: Get executed (low relation with Cities ~-80)
  • Rural Scenery: Obtain Ox Ring and talk with Nameless Village Elder
  • Guardian of Chuxiang City: Defend Chuxiang City in the Siege
  • Chuxiang City is broken: Chuxiang City is lost in the Siege
  • Abandoned in the Wilderness: Defeat in combat (which kills you)
  • A new journey: Defeat the reinforcements at the start of the game (waiting in the first event with the two girls for too long)
  • Jianghu Conqueror: Become Jianghu Conqueror
  • Jianghu Master: Become Jianghu Master
  • Hidden threats are hard to guard against: Lose to the Bandit in Lost Forest
  • Peak of Jianghu: Achieve Peak of Jianghu status.
  • Enlightened Monk: Reach Buddhism Value of 500 while being a Monk
  • Imperial Noble: Complete Duke Kangs Storyline
  • Foreign Duke: Complete Yan Yun Storyline and have 100 Relation with general
  • Chaos in the World: Destroy ALL factions
  • Loyalty: Take over Ye Army. Done by completing the storyline.
  • Sins lasting for Eternity: Complete Duke Kangs Storyline and lose to Fu Yaozi
  • Sage of Confucianism: Read all 10 Books in Confucius Temple
  • Nine Factions Sect Master: Complete Old Man Storyline
  • Richest in the World: 1000 Guan
  • Beauties like Clouds: 15 wives
  • Stargazing and Enlightenment: Complete Zhang Latas quest & meditate near the Stargazing Platform 5 times
  • Royal son in law: Marry Fu Qing
  • Wandering in the Martial World: Defeat Duke Chai
  • Dominating the world: Defeat Duke Chai, possess the Imperial Seal & have obtained Loyalty ending this run.
  • Dominate the Western Regions: Destroy both the Divine Fire Sect & the Cold Skin Gang.

  • Shadow of the Overlord (DLC): Evil 9 Faction playthrough where you complete the main quest

  • Iron-faced Hero (DLC): 9 Faction playthrough prodigal son returns route and achieve Peak of Jianghu

I wish this guide would have more details about achieving the endings.

I met all the listed requirements for Iron-faced Hero and got Shadow of the Overlord.
I fulfilled all the conditions for Supreme Overlord and still got Shadow of the Overlord.

I just wasted 4 hours of my life trying to get the endings I wanted.
Maybe I should’ve wasted all 10 hours watching that Supreme Overlord walkthrough series. Maybe that would’ve helped. Sad.

I got the "Sage of Confucianism" Ending without being a part of the sect, just read all the books, and then once all my virtues hit 100 it triggered, so I am pretty sure that you just need to have all virtues maxed and then read enough of the books. though you need to have been in the sect at some point in order to purchase one of the books from the sect store and to open up the side buildings by making the four sages appear.

In fact you reach Sage of Confucianism if you reach 600 "score" whilst being part of confucius. Each book would provide 60; alternatively reflecting on your mistakes grants 2 each.

So you can get it without having read any of the books. But that's a lot more tedious

i believe you can also get the "sage of confucianism" ending by raising your 5 points (proprietary, wisdom, benevolence, righteousness, trustworty) to 100 from negatives. in my current run, ive only read a couple of the confucian books but got caught up in ya qin's quest, where ***SPOILERS*** ***SPOILERS*** ***SPOILERS*** you find the mass burial ground and my stats dropped to ~-20, i had nothing but time.

Yeah luckily it seems to be working properly now.

Though who are the characters in slots 8 & 9 for Hard Life? Don't have them unlocked myself and they aren't added to this guide yet.

Am I seeing the walkthrough mid-update? Its missing alot of characters.
