Summary
Standalone Emperor's Children Faction mod from MIM - WH40k Factions.

New Faction
Their sonic weapons give additional pain to the enemy, so that they can be easily fall into pain shock.


Gene-Seed
Pawn who has this gene-seed feels happy when they got more pain, and unhappy with less pain.

Noise Marine Eye

Steed of Slaanesh
They will be spawned as a tamable animal with Advanced trainability.

New Fortification
Emperor's Children Walls and Embrasures
Spread 20% pain, -15% consciousness and very often loving chance within 5 radius. Have slightly better stats compare to vanilla structures. Requires Emperor's Children research on Chaos (MIM) tab.

Emperor's Children Sepsis Cohort (Normal)

  • Total 35 Emperor's Children armor parts (including Armor, Helmet and Backpack) added. (Steam keep deleting attached images with no reason, so some armors are missing on above screenshot.)

glitch where ocassionally doom siren ability will become main weapon and pawns will destroy base casting it at the shooting range dummies lol

@Gruul What do you mean by TPS? Shooting a weapon doesn't consume notable amount of ticks, and since current Sonic weapons are using vanilla incinerator function I believe it is the minimal way of implementation in terms of ticks.

And you already have AoE sonic weapons like the one on Doom Siren and secondary ability based attack of blastmaster. If I change the way of how does weapon works, it causes significant issue with CE, so currently I have no plan to add or modify mechanism of weapons from the vanilla way.

I really liked to play in colony made up from noisemarines ( i even start liked them above all spiky boyz after play with you mods for them) but TPS was mostly one of the main issue of your mods and if remeber sonic weapon in warhammaer or alteast physics what is sonic wave , see how they guitars was literaly like sound machine gun is little bit strange and also if you have more than 5 of them shooting at same time you ruin even best optimized modlist. Does it evey possible to make them like AOE weapon , you have bolters whos make explosion on hit but what about sound make same ? i think if they will shoot slower but with AOE it will be more lore and realistic and help with TPS

@Romamamamama All space marine / Chaos Space marine armors require specific xenotype and/or trait to wear. If you are using my only set only, then it requires Black Carapace Trait, which you can get it by leveling up any Gene-seed to Level 19, or if you don't hesitate to use DevMode, then put Lv 1 NPC gene-seed will give the trait to your pawn.

If you are using Phonicmas's Gene mod, the same gene (Black Carapace) will allow your pawn to wear it.

Question: When my pawn tries to wear the Chaos lord armor, it says required trait is missing. Any idea what that means?

@Unofficial Status As of current state, it won't break your save, but some of the internal Defnames may change in the future, and it will spit out some red error for one shot. Some people really hate that so I put the safeguard for my own sake :D And yes, they are not a hidden faction, and if you start as certain custom starting, you can interact with them or even can get title from them. I plan to add a local starting who can interact with all factions including both chaos and loyalists.

what does this unstable version mean? if you update this mod- it breaks the current save? btw all your chaos space marines are present in the map as a faction, right or nah?
