A Single Coin Counter is NOT going to do more damage than a good s2 or s3. This is blatant misinformation. Shown by your example of Liu Ishmael. Her counter rolls a 9+7, which is 16.
Damage is also the same as defense rolls. The damage you deal is based off of the roll.
Liu Ishmael's counter will hit for a 16 damage whereas if you chose her s2 it would be 36 damage because of how Coin Rolls work (8+12+16 = 36 damage) at the bare minimum; excluding burn coin power gain. Not to mention her counter and s2 share the same sin affinity and damage type, which means her s2 deals flatout double her counter damage and more. This is an absolutely horrible comparison because even her s1 would do potentially more damage. 7+10 =17 damage.
Calling counters a "viable long term strategy" is ridiculous. A strategy of what? Memes?
I care not if you like counters and their animation, but please do not spread blatant and terrible misinformation to potentially newer players.
