IMMERSIVE SIMS FOREVER.
>Introduction
Before we start
This guide is a compilation/list of immersive sims that I hope would be convenient for my fellow immersive sim enjoyers to wishlist, follow, and purchase on Steam.

In this guide, "legit" immersive sims as well as games that are inspired by their design philosophy/values are included, ranging from different genres and view perspectives, selected by developers, journalists, and me. I intend to show that the immersive sim design values and their influences could exist in various forms and different scales, for this reason, I intentionally included as many games, especially indie games as possible.

You - my fellow immersive sim enjoyers - should decide what “immersive sim” means to you, and what games in this guide meet your definitions.

One of the all-time greatest immersive sims in my opinion. If you haven't bought it, buy it; if you have and enjoyed it, please consider leaving a review to help make it to 1,000,000 reviews. Harvey Smith once predicted an indie immersive sim explosion, which I believe is pushing near, and its reaction is being initiated by games like this one.

This year's biggest surprise, the first episode of Fallen Aces has been released this month, containing five chapters that fully support player freedom on how to tackle objectives and goons™️. It was marketed to be light on immersive sim elements, but the development team of two people easily delivered one of the best levels in any immersive sims.

What happens when you put System Shock-like dungeon crawler, Soviet communism, and Lovecraftian/Slavic horror together? In Sonar Shock, political schemes and supernatural phenomenon happen at the same time, explore this massive submarine, and make your choices to survive.

Gloomwood blends stealth immersive sim and survival horror elements so well and was instantly loved by many. It's easily the best ongoing immersive sim in early access and is shaping up to be among the greatest. The first half of the Underport District update has gone live last month, go and check it out.

An isometric action RPG set in the wild west, made by former Arkane developers Raf Colantonio and Julien Roby with their new indie studio WolfEye. After many updates and improvements including mod support, Weird West is in its best shape for players to embark on their journeys. There is also a great first-person mod for you to try if you seek immersion in first-person.
Weird West is free with Amazon Prime until September 4, get it if you haven't already!

IGF Seumas McNally winner Betrayal At Club Low is a wonderful genre hybrid adventure game that mixes tabletop RPG, point & click AVG, and immersive sim together. It's like Deus Ex, but you roll dice! If that doesn't click with you, I don't know what will.

Inspired by E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy and Ghost in the Shell, I would say that Deadeye Deepfake Simulacrum is THE CYBERPUNK IMMERSIVE SIM. Version 0.85 of DDS is now available, and 1.0 is not very far from us. Until you have tried DDS yourself, my words would fail to convey how crazy player builds and systems in this game can be.

Cruelty Squad is the most popular indie immersive sim ever. A tactical stealth shooter with open maps and multiple routes to approach targets, happening in a bizarre and grotesque world. Psychedelics and Capitalism, sound like a great combination.

A procedurally generated and fully simulated sandbox city of crime based on systemic rules and NPCs have their own lives and routines. Doesn’t it sound exciting, just like that “one city block” idea? Warren Spector would be proud.

I believe that the direction shifts to allow more agency and interactions in an Amnesia game has succeeded, and on top of that, a smart and threatening AI enemy. Amnesia: The Bunker led the series into a brighter future, and I applaud for that.

The first name of this game was Deus Ex: Clan Wars.

There some stuff from immersive sim like multipath, and there a weapon from Deus Ex: Invisible War ( light spider bot ), you can hack turrets, turn enemies friendly, turn into invisibility, crawl in air vents, use slow mo, drive some cars....

But the core gameplay is something like a Call of Duty : Advanced Warfare

In resume we have a fps linear with very little maps who are connect by multi little embranchment and a large panel of choice of action

It's like a mix of Deus Ex: Invisible War and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
