Manticoil

Harmless birds, they run away when you get close.
Low Threat Level
Spore Lizard

Stunable: With Zap-Gun
Shovel HP: N/A
Shotgun HP: N/A

The Spore Lizard will never attack a player unless provoked, naturally run away, and cannot be killed. Simply leave them alone and they will leave you alone. If provoked they will blind the player with purple fumes, that does not do damage. and will attempt to bite the player.
Snare Flea

Shotgun HP: 1
Shovel HP: 3
Stunable: Yes

Snare fleas are disgusting, but very weak hunters that hide on ceilings in a attempt to catch you off guard. Can be killed before attacking by hitting it with a shovel while it's on a ceiling.

How to Kill
  • If grabbed, Look down and reach for your Shovel, you can still hold things and hit it on your face.
  • If you or your friend have a Shovel grab it and hit whoever has the Snare Flea.
  • If you use the exit while the flea is on your face it will immediately die to not being able to "survive low temperatures" such as the outdoors.
Hoarding Bug

Shotgun HP: 1
Shovel HP: 2
Stunable: Yes

Hoarding Bugs may nest alone or in groups up to 5.

How to Kill - If you find a Hoarding Bug alone/away from it's group, attempt to kill it with a shovel before it has a chance to do anything. Attack fast enough and it will not have time to jump at you.

Avoid - Taking their stuff before killing them. If you see a pile of objects look for the Hoarding Bugs and don't walk near the pile.
Hygrodere

Shotgun HP: N/A
Shovel HP: N/A
Stunable: With Zap-Gun

A Collection of organisms who work to hunt prey, If they kill a player they will be converted into more biomass.
Can be avoided by standing on railings or other tall objects.

How to Neutralize - Can be pacified by playing a Boombox, but only while it is on. The Hygrodere will come to the person playing the Boombox and dance.

Avoid - Hitting with shovels, it will split into two Hygrodere.
Circuit Bees

Shotgun HP: N/A
Shovel HP: N/A
Stunable: N/A

Circuit Bees cannot be stunned, killed, or neutralized. Stay away from their nest and them to stay safe.

Bonus - Scrap

The Circuit Bee's hive is worth around 100 scrap. The value is tied to the seed and is the same for all the Hives on that day.

To steal it, get close enough to piss off the bees, and then run around the bees and grab the hive. Run till you have no stamina and then drop it. Repeat till it's on your ship. Then grab it when you are leaving as the bees will be left behind.

Bunker Spider

Shotgun HP: 1
Shovel HP: 5
Stunable: Yes

They stay close to their nest, and are very slow, able to be out-walked most of the time. They wrap victims in a web. Making them unretrievable without a teleporter.

How to Kill - Since they are slower than you when walking, you can simply hit them while moving backwards. Make sure you have room to move. I recommend destroying their webs first if possible. They become faster when on one hit so make sure to not leave it on one.

Avoid - Stepping in their Webs, Walking below them while they are hiding on the ceiling.
Medium Threat Level
Coil-Head

Shotgun HP: N/A
Shovel HP: N/A
Stunable: With Zap-Gun

They can't be killed, but are easily stopped by staring at them. I wouldn't recommend trying to stun them.

Avoid - Letting them block doorways or stairwells.
Baboon-Hawk

Shotgun HP: 1
Shovel HP: 6
Stunable: Yes

Baboon-Hawks are semi-dangerous monsters which form packs, and only attack players if they are of equal or greater numbers, stick together and you will be fine. If you are alone, screaming into the microphone will make them back off as long as there is only one. So will horns.

How to Kill
A Baboon-Hawk can easily be killed by a player with just a shovel, so kill them before they can form a pack. a whole group can easily be killed with a team with shovels. Hit them when they run away, and then run away when they try to hit.
Eyeless Dogs

Shotgun HP: 1
Shovel HP: 12
Stunable: With Zap-Gun

Come in packs of up to 8.
Like the Coil-Head is completely neutralized by sight, the dogs are by sound, simply make no noise and don't touch them to stay safe.

How to Kill/Neutralize
  • With a team consisting of Shovels and a Zapgun, you can stun and then beat the Dogs to death.
  • During a thunderstorm, make noise and then drop your shovel. The dogs will go to check the noise and get shocked.
  • Lead Them to Baboon-Hawks, They will fight each other.
  • They can't reach you on the ship's roof.

Avoid - Picking up Scrap that makes noise, and turning on/off Walkie-Talkies. Dogs cannot hear people talking to you over the Walkie-Talkie.
Thumper

Shotgun HP: 2
Shovel HP: 4
Stunable: Yes

Thumpers are deaf creatures, which make up for it with incredible speed and sight. Your best chance to escape one is to run around corners, as it turns slowly and will forget about you after a short period.

While they are excellent fighters, they are also quite fragile, easily killed with a stun grenade and shovel.

If you don't want to waste a stun grenade, or don't have one, find an area where you can run around a Thumper, like the entrance room, and the storage rooms. Hit the Thumper while staying behind it and moving in a circle.

-Thumpers now become faster when hit, make sure not to start hitting before getting behind it.
Earth Leviathan

Shotgun HP: N/A
Shovel HP: N/A
Stunable: N/A

They make a loud sound when they emerge from the ground to attack, be on high alert outside and you should be able to dodge them easily, they become harder when there are Baboon-Hawks or Eyeless Dogs.
High Threat Level
Masked

Shotgun HP: 2
Shovel HP: 4
Stunable: Yes

Masked are parasites that resemble Comedy and Tragedy masks from plays. They will attach to the face of whoever puts them on, kill them, and then pilot their corpse, acting as the player, making them very dangerous to everyone, especially to the overseer. They spread by vomiting into the face of a victim, allowing another mask to grow on the face. Gross!

Information about spawning/Masks
  • They can only spawn naturally on Rend and Titan, and only in Decoy suits. I recommend wearing Hazard Suits if you visit these moons to make assessment quicker/safer.
  • Outside Rend and Titan they only exist as scrap, don't hold them up to your face.
  • Tragedy immediately attaches and cries when attached to a host, while Comedy will give you a second or two before attaching and emits laughing when attached to a host.

How to tell if someone has been infected as the Overseer
  • They are spinning at random.
  • They approach another player and then both stop while facing each other. IE: Being vomited on.
  • They suddenly stop communicating to you on the Walkie-Talkie.

Mimicking/Behavior
Masked will look around, peek corners, and spin like asking for a teleport just like a player.
When there are no players inside the facility they will exit and make their way to the ship.

Attacking
Masked will first hesitate like Brackens, before attacking. Unlike Brackens however they do not stop pursing and will hunt until the player until they catch them. They can, and will exit the facility.

How to Kill
They will pursue one person at a time, and face them while sticking their arms out. Have one person lure it around while the other hits the Masked with a Shovel, hitting it will not make it change targets, and you should be okay as long as the person luring doesn't run too far.

You can also interrupt the attack animation with a whack of the shovel, but this can cause a bug where the screen stays red. Not recommended unless necessary.

If alone, wait until the masked starts running and hit it while running around it to the right, they turn too slow to grab you. DO NOT try it to the left.

If there is more than one Masked, things become harder.
If you have a shovel and two stun grenades, you can try throw one and stun both, then beating one to death at a time. (difficult and not recommended.)

Bracken

Shotgun HP: 1
Shovel HP: 5
Stunable: Yes

Will snap your neck if you're not looking at them. Stare at them for a short period to make them back off, but do not continue staring afterwards or it will attack.

How to Kill - Despite being one of the most intimidating monsters, with a team of a shovel and a Zap-Gun you can easily kill a bracken, zap and whack, if you don't kill it within the first zap, back up until it recharges then repeat.
  • Stun Grenades are ineffective against them and are not recommended.
  • They decompose upon death, disappearing.
  • You must be be very close to one shot the bracken with the Shotgun, if you are too far it will take 2 shots.

Bonus - False Rumors

The "Bracken Room" or the room that looks like the Backrooms, is just a Easter egg and is not where it stores bodies, it simply picks the area farthest from the entrance.

The "Bracken's Laugh" is also a misconception and is simply a sound heard when the players sanity is low.
Forest Keeper

Shotgun HP: N/A
Shovel HP: N/A
Stunable: Yes

Incredibly fast, colossal giants, with excellent sight, but no hearing.

How to survive
  • Throw a Stun-Grenade and run for the ship.
  • Stay outside its field of view.
  • Use a ladder on a tree to get out of its range. (Not recommended)
  • Drop a Radar-Booster and have the person on the ship spam it.
Very High Threat Level
Nutcracker

Shotgun HP: 1
Shovel HP: 5
Stunable Yes

Mechanical sentries created to defend the facility and resemble nutcrackers. they wield a deadly shotgun, which they drop upon death. They will walk around and search for players, it is safe to walk around them until they open their motion sensing eye, which you must then stand completely still (THIS NOW INCLUDES LOOKING AROUND!).
They cannot spawn on Vow, for whatever reason, but can spawn everywhere else.

How to Kill
They can be defeated with a team of a zap gun and a shovel, get a couple hits in, run and hide and repeat until dead or if alone, by hitting around corners and running and hiding.
WARNING! The nutcracker shoots instantly on 1 HP, make sure to not leave him on one.
Tips

  • Avoid attacking a nut cracker in long hallways with no corners, since it can attack at range.
  • You can make nutcrackers shoot monsters by moving in front of them.
  • The eye can move in a 360 degree angle, do not try walking behind it.
Ghost Girl

Shotgun HP: N/A
Shovel HP: N/A
Stunable: N/A

The Ghost Girl is the rarest, and most second most deadly entity in the game. She cannot be killed, is invisible to everyone but the haunted and the ship overseer, and can leave the facility.

The ghost girl can be one of the most deadly, or most easy entity to deal with, depending on how you handle her.

To avoid her attacking do not approach her or turn around after seeing her. She can be seen once before she will attack. Stare while walking away, until she is out of view and then turn and run.
I recommend leaving after seeing her.

Jester

Shotgun HP: N/A
Shovel HP: N/A
Stunable: N/A

Can only be stunned, is faster than Usain Bolt, and cannot be hidden from. The most deadly entity when active.

Resembles a Jack-In-The-Box. Will be passive for 20-40 seconds before winding up and then popping out, attacking. If no one is inside the facility for a period of 1-10 seconds, the Jester will close up, allowing you to go back in and collect your left behind scrap, he will reactivate though.

The only way to neutralize a Jester is with a team's Overseer constantly flashing a Radar-Booster.

In my opinion coil heads should be up there with a bracken, on mansion maps they have a 12% spawn rate and can be very deadly solo or if there is more than 1
