More Devastating Devastation

Descrizione
This mod aims to balance devastation. Currently, 100% devastation will be gone within less than half a year and generally will still see a healthy pop growth in the midst of war.

This mod changes this to reflect the fact that the majority of casualties in war are civilians.
Devastation now:
- Increases by 2.5% per battle, up from 0.1% in vanilla
- Reduces birthrate in addition to the mortality rate seen in vanilla but reduced its effectiveness as the SoL decrease is very effective
- Now reduces standard of living by 0.1 per devastation
- Decays at a slower rate, now 0.03% per day from 0.1% in vanilla

This works great with cold war era. Thank you for the mod!

i discovered a fun little trick to destroy populations. Declare war on their subject but never step foot in it so they dont capitulate. With this mod the damage is terrific

@see two @lyra I agree with See Two in that the high mortality is justified if you take into account the likely famines such a harsh occupation would cause.

Mortality rate is probably too high considering how long it takes for devastation to clear now, but it makes sense otherwise. Enabling this mod really makes you rethink war because of how damaging it is, which I really appreciate.

nah, it's cool. Perhaps 1/3 of pop from one war is too much, but it is to account for non-existant systematic famines

I'm still balancing it as the reduction in SoL was too strong in combination with the birthrate and mortality effects. I'm considering removing the mortality and birthrate effects in favour of the SoL decrease as this creates all the desired outcome of war: Less migration, less births, more deaths and more turmoil.
I've just submitted the values I've been playing with for the last couple of days.

This feels like you haven't actually played the game, considering that a single war that I've done against say, the British Raj as the Sikh Empire cuased the British Raj to lose 1/3 of its population due to devastation-induced mortality
