The goal of "Turtle Rock Aesthetics" is to recreate the atmosphere and style of the beta versions of the first Left 4 Dead, while also adding original stuff.

This mod does not change the gameplay or the maps itself. Only the majority of Left 4 Dead's world textures, trash decals, muzzleflashes, grass details, ect have been changed to match specifically the 2007 era.

Almost all material has been taken from Counter-Strike: Source and Half-Life 2, and some being reworked or being completely original.

I have dedicated this texture pack entirely to the first game, so not much of Left 4 Dead 2 has changed other than a few textures because I found it hard to keep a balance in the artstyle.

This addon on its own looks completely fine, but if you really want a complete experience then I suggest to looking forward to the mod collection.

Known Issues:
Grass details appearing as glitched lines (Changing to the next map or restarting the game with the mod enabled seems to fix it)
