Download the Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch by extracting its files and placing them within the game's Data folder.

SKSE

In the Steam version Install SKSE from Steam.
Store Link: (https://steamproxy.net/steamstore/app/365720/Skyrim_Script_Extender_SKSE/)

If non-steam version then copy the .dll and .exe files to your Skyrim SE directory under (Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\).
Copy the .pex files in Data\Scripts\ into the Data\Scripts\ folder of your installation.
Run skse64_loader.exe to launch the game.

To install SSE Engine Fixes, utilize ModOrganizer.exe to open and install Part 1 of the Rar file. Manual installation might cause game crashes, so it's crucial to use the ModOrganizer program. Extract Part 2 of the files into the main Skyrim folder, excluding the Data folder.

DLL Plugin Loader

For the DLL Plugin Loader, extract the files to the Skyrim Special Edition root directory. The directory is typically where you'll find SkyrimSE.exe, commonly located at "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition".

To correctly set up, first rename the existing "binkw64.dll" file to "binkw64_.dll" by adding an underscore at the end.
Next, place the "binkw64.dll" file from the downloaded archive into the same directory mentioned earlier.
When done correctly, you should see two files in your directory: "binkw64.dll" and "binkw64_.dll".

Download the .NET Script Framework, transfer the files directly into the Data folder within the game directory.

For Immersive Sounds - Compendium, don't extract the files. Instead, open Modorganizer.exe, and proceed to install the mod by adding the rar file. Select only the default options and refrain from checking any non-default checkboxes to retain the vanilla version effects. There's no requirement to transfer files from the Mod Organizer folder to the game folder.

Legacy of the Dragonborn Patches (Official)

To install Legacy of the Dragonborn Patches (Official), add the rar file in ModOrganizer.exe without extracting. During installation, select the patches for the installed mods and proceed with the installation.

Once installed, navigate to the Mod Organizer instance path, which is typically found at C:\Users\xxxx\AppData\Local\ModOrganizer\Skyrim Special Edition\mods\Static Mesh Improvement Mod. Then, move all files from that folder into the Skyrim/Data folder.

After downloading LOOT follow the below steps

Install Load Order Optimization Tool
Open ModOrganizer.exe: Launch the ModOrganizer program.
Integrate LOOT.exe: At the top-right corner of ModOrganizer, add the LOOT.exe file to the program.
Run LOOT: Click on the RUN option within ModOrganizer to activate LOOT.
Sort Plugins: Click on sort plugins option within LOOT to organize the plugins.
Check for Green Ticks: Ensure that all mods show green ticks to confirm a successful sorting process.

No. You can play just fine without any mods. These are just improvements (objectively) and bug fixes.
If you were able to complete the game without the use of mods before, you can still do it now.

That's strange. Last time I've played with or through SKSE (must have been around 2022) I didn't get any Achievements. Now I'm playing vanilla from scratch and getting all the Achievements!

SkyUI is an interface mod that has completely fixed the clunky user interface of Skyrim. SkyUI is much more intuitive for mouse and keyboard players and is aesthetically superior to the original user interface. @Mando
