How to use BEEMOD unstationary items
By CrewmateSteve
If you've ever created your own Portal 2 maps, you know the normal editor is rather limited. BEEMOD is a mod that allows for much more editing freedom. In this guide I will show how to insert and use the unstationary scaffold equipment in BEE2!

What is an unstationary scaffold?
An unstationary scaffold is a platform that moves along a beam of immaterial light, seen in the original Portal, but not in Portal 2. However, in Portal 2 you can create your own test chambers. BEEMOD is an editor mod, which adds a ton of elements for maps, including unstationary scaffolds. There are 3 items available to help work with them. Two images are shown below.

Step 1: Getting in your palettes
First step, in the BEE2 editor, move the equipment to your palette. (Check the images.) Then, in the upper-left corner, click view, check export options, then go to the export options window and press "Export to Portal 2."
Step 2: Find them in the editor
After clicking "Export to Portal 2", a popup will appear asking if you want to launch the game. If the game is already open, close it. Then click "yes". Then, in Portal 2, go to Community Test Chambers > Create Test Chambers > (Whichever you want to work on. If you want to start a new one, press New Test Chamber.) They should be in your palette if you followed the steps correctly.
Step 3: Using the items
Insert one or more of the unstationary scaffold items into the chamber. Right-click the one(s) you want to start with the scaffold. Click "Connect to..." and drag your cursor over to the scaffold's next destination. Click on it. Then, repeat this process except with the destination you just clicked on. Keep doing this until your beam is set up.

Unstationary scaffold slots are different- they won't start with a platform to stand on. When enabled, they will emit a platform out of the wall. If you connect them the right way, you can also make it so a slot will intake platforms.

Shown below is an editor view of a platform coming out of a wall, turning, then going into a wall.

Example

Here is a test I made featuring unstationary scaffolds. The following 3 images were taken in the edior or the chamber.
