How to Redeem Steam Keys for Dummies

If you'd refer to my Steam profile, you'll see that I have far too many games in my library. Because of this, I often get discounted keys for my friends. (through legitimate services like Humble Bundle[www.humblebundle.com] or Fanatical[www.fanatical.com] etc.) They generally don't know how to redeem these Steam keys, so I made this guide to send to them, and to send to YOU, the poor sap reading this guide because you too have a bored friend who bought you a game on Steam but your slow a** didn't know how use a random string of numbers and letters to acquire it.

Head to the "Games" tab in the top left-hand portion of your Steam window.
STEP 2

After you click the "Games" tab, it will reveal a drop down menu with a few options. You are looking for the option that says "Activate a Product on Steam." Click it.

STEP 3

I can't believe it's even necessary for me to write the 3rd step down, but copy the key you were given and paste it in this window. Congratulations, you've just blown out of stupid down!
