Sandbox Mode came in a major update on 2023-12-21, which removed the "New Game" button to prevent an accident since it was dangerously close to "Continue Story" and profiles do not exist for campaign. (Sandbox itself are self-contained large map saves.)

It is now renamed to "Fresh Start", and "Allow Fresh Start" must be toggled on in settings.

I have to play the first tutorial level again?? This may give you a heart attack, but afterward you will return to the overworld with all regions/vouchers you have reached. Enjoy clicking through all the unlock pop-up spam. Your times are not saved though.

I implemented the Konami code in as stable and robust way possible. Which does mean it lacks a custom code path for the restore process. Hence it does not directly send you to the Overworld. Although maybe I should add that.

This section exists for technical info only and is a way to manually manage multiple sandbox profiles. There is no easy way to combine progress or fastest times from different profiles.

Turn off Steam Cloud. Close the game if it isn't, then (under Windows) go to %localappdata% and
Renaming/deleting Profile_0.sav will automatically delete region saves and checkpoints when the game generates a new Profile_0.sav which is why you must back up the saves folder if you wish to restore region builds from old Profile_0.sav. However Profile_0.sav alone contains times and unlocks, and unfortunately settings too so if you had custom keybinds then you will have to redo it when manually restarting campaign.
