Hightower has been hit by Jack Frost!

Hollytower (plr_hightower_snowy) is a festive Smissmas alpine-themed reskin of the iconic Payload Race map Hightower (plr_hightower), featuring several elements from the Halloween version, Helltower. Push your Payload cart to the enemy Hightower and blow it up to win the round! So long as you don't get market gardened on the way up ;)


There are several quality-of-life improvements over the original as well, including...

- Adjusted clipping meticulously, including blockbullets on all stairs (fixing the much-dreaded "0 damage rocket" issue)
- Respawn room triggers that ACTUALLY cover the entirety of the respawn room
- Additional voice lines to signal the position of the Payload cart
- Small file size
- Warm and cozy color correction

This is by no means a «lazy» or «easy» job. Anyone who has done anything in hammer would know how much work goes into even «simple» reskins.

What makes this one unique is that it’s not holiday themed. Just good old winter. The colors are nice and that huge ass moon is really cool.

It’s also very polished. A quality that, sadly, not many maps have these days. I only noticed one very aggressive prop fade, that’s all.

While I don't necessarily think it should be added to the game, it looks nice and plays well enough.

I enjoy the openness given by using the Halloween variant for the reskin (Mainly the open area ABOVE the little shack with health and ammo), but at the same time I also find it weird to use the halloween version for the reskin.

Instead of lifting bombs up to explode you need to be raising a star to the top of a tree. Red and Blue fighting over who will finish decorating their tree first seems canonical by this point :p .
