The Beginning
Like all good stories this one starts at the beginning. I needed some organic polymer to make a ghillie suit because the game keeps saying I'm too hot when i go mine obsidian. So, i took my argy and traveled from my base in the south all the way to the north.
After getting the organic polymer and crafting the suit i got distracted and saw that a mammoth had hit a yuty off a ledge and it was trying to get back up to kill the mammoth so i shot with some tranq darts and tamed it.
Unfortunately after i tamed it i realized "how would i get it back to my base". Don't have cryopods and don't have a quetzal so i was left with only one option: rafts
A Surprise Guest
While travelling to my base which was over 5000 meters away. A surprise guest decided to join the yuta, my argy, and me. A pelican.

Or what looked a pelican, it was a bird, its species didn't really matter.
It didn't want to pay the travel fee so it was kicked it off.
I could only think about how lucky it was that i hadn't been attacked by a leed yet.
Emphasis on the yet
A Surprise Terrorist Attack
The journey continued quite peacefully until only 500 meters from my base, the raft got attacked by a terrorist.
Luckily, we were close to land and I moved towards it, hitting some rocks.
I turned around and saw that the terrorist was in fact a leed, probably sent to attack me by the pelican.

I decided at that point we could probably walk the last 500 meters to the base.
I got off the raft but it seemed my newly tamed yuty might have wanted to die because it wanted to say hello to the terrorist.
The Journey's End
After a long perilous journey, we made it back to my 5% finished base and i remembered I was suppose to go on stone/metal/obsidian runs instead of taming a yuty but who cares.

Clearly I don't care cause I'm writing this stupid guide instead of doing resource runs. I'll just let my tribe mates get the resources. . . Oh I'm playing single player. Well whatever that's a problem for future me.

the worst part about going on supply runs is that i keep taming random creatures and have to transport them back home. just recently i was in the northwest and looking for kairuku, and i managed to tame two dire wolves. and before that, i tamed one of those aggressive boar things that have a healing thing. and then while i was getting the kairuku, i tamed a mammoth. and would've tamed a chalicotherium, but it clipped into the ground and i couldn't get into its menu.

the urge to tame random creatures is strong when you've got a crossbow loaded with narc arrows all the time
