Using ReShade to brighten up Resident Evil 6's scenes
By zodiacaca
This guide introduces you to a way to save the outdated visuals of the Resident Evil 6 game by using a post-processing injector called ReShade. In this guide, I won't cover advanced use cases of how to use ReShade; rather, I will give you an idea of the basics of using ReShade with an example of a bloom post-processing effect enabled.

Install Reshade for Resident Evil 6
The install process is pretty straightforward; if "BH6.exe" doesn't appear, then select it yourself by navigating to it.
Config Reshade for Resident Evil 6
The first time you open Resident Evil 6 with ReShade installed, ReShade will prompt you with a tutorial. After that, anytime you want to bring up the ReShade UI, press the "Home" key.

With the ReShade UI on screen, navigate to the "Settings" tab first. Within there, you have to tell ReShade where to find the shades and textures, add a new location for "Effect search paths", point it to the "Shades" folder, which is copied in the first section.
