Enable Developer Console (REQ)

- Run Counter-Strike 2.

Run Steam Launcher.
Search Counter-Strike 2.
Run the game.

- Open Counter-Strike 2 settings.

1. Click the nut.
⠀

2. Click on the loupe and search for "console" (never mind the caps).
⠀
⠀
3. Click on "Enable Developer Console".
⠀
⠀
4. Locate "Enable Developer Console" and activate it (YES).
⠀
⠀
5. Go back to the search menu (Click on the loupe) and click again on "Toggle Console".
⠀
⠀
6. Click on "Toggle Console (in opaque rectangle) and blind the key of your choice to open the console

⠀
7. Close Counter-Strike 2.

Downloaded Workshop Map (REQ)

Counter-Strike 2's new built-in graphics engine does not support the old Steam Workshop maps (.bsp format). Counter-Strike 2 uses the VPK format, so we have to look for maps of this format, if for some reason we use Counter-Strike Global Offensive (.BSP) maps they DO NOT WORK.

To find a custom map you will need to download it via:
User Upload (YouTube videos, Twitter...)
GameBanana [gamebanana.com]

Once we have downloaded the map that u want to play, u will have to follow the next steps:

1. Open Counter-Strike 2 folder
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ↪⠀If you don't know how to open it, go to Steam, search your library for
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"Counter-Strike 2", right click on it, select "Manage" and then "View
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀local files". After doing so, the file explorer will open with the

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀The path in most cases is:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive

2. Open the following folders (in the following order.)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ↪ ⠀⠀game ➞⠀csgo ➞⠀maps
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

3. Paste the downloaded maps into this folder.

You can now close everything you have opened.

Create CS2 -insecure launcher (REQ)

Once you have done the above steps, you have to create a .bat file to run CS2 with the
-insecure parameter. If you don't start it with this parameter, you won't be able to load any map you have downloaded or even installed in the maps folder.
1. Open notepad and type paste the following:

cd "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\game\bin\win64" cs2.exe -insecure

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ↪ If you use custom parameters, you can add it after/before the
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀-insecure, I recommend you add it if you have your own. Below is an
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀example to give you an idea of how to set it up.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ↪ If your CS2 installation path is different from the traditional one, I leave the
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀template for you to fill it to your preferences. Remember that you have to access
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀the folder where cs2.exe is located.

cd "Your installation path" cs2.exe -insecure

Example of .BAT code (My settings):

2. After having the code written we will proceed to save it in .BAT format,
NOT .TXT (IT DOES NOT WORK).

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ↪ Go to File ➞ Save as ➞ Save it where you want and name it as you want
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ BUT HAVE IT IN .BAT FORMAT AT THE END ➞ VERY IMPORTANT: Click on
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Type and select All files ➞ save.

Remember that the -insecure parameter disables some security measures to allow the use of custom content, but should be used with caution and only in controlled environments, as it can make the game more prone to cheats and hacks.

Run CS2 & load maps (USU)

Whenever we want to play a custom map, we open the .BAT, so we don't have to change Counter-Strike 2 settings every time. Just starting the .BAT is enough.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ↪ In case you are going to play a casual/ranked/premier game, close the
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀game and start it from Steam.
1. Run the .bat and wait for Counter-Strike 2 to open (it doesn't take long).
2. Open the console with the key you configured earlier.
3. Type the command map followed by the name of the map (you can use the tab key to complete the map name) & press Enter
