Descrição
Gearshock enters the world of Rivals of Aether!

Gearshock is a rushdown character that lives and dies on its tension gauge, which drastically changes the speed of its movement and attacks. The gauge can be spent to power up certain special moves, spending built-up speed for one powerful attack.

Tension Gauge :
The Tension Gauge slowly drains while idle, and decreases faster when attacking, performing specials, and double jumping. It can be refilled through certain special moves. The gauge's current level determines how fast Gearshock moves and attacks (though specials do not change in speed). Near 100, most of Gearshocks's attacks are instant, and it can move across the stage incredibly fast. Near 0, attacks are nearly useless, and Gearshock's movement is horribly slow. The key is to leave room to refill in between attacks, or kill the opponent before running out.

Double Jumps :
Gearshock has up to 11 mid-air jumps, but using them costs tension. The multi-segment bar above the tension gauge shows how many are left with the current tension level. If tension is refilled in the air, Gearshock can use even more than 11 jumps

DSpecial - Rewind :
Rewind is the easiest and fastest way to refill tension, refilling 10 tension per use. However, it leaves you vulnerable to attack, so be careful when you use it.

NSpecial - Gear Grinder :
Gearshock's gear grows to a massive size, trapping nearby opponents in a blender of damage. Holding the special button extends the length of the move in exchange for tension, allowing it to even exceed 50% damage.

FSpecial - Shock Slam :
Shock Slam is a short ranged command grab that works as a combo tool and kill move. When charged, its kill power increases exponentially, though damage in unaffected. The charge level also effects the endlag, allowing for followups at lower charges. Whiffing the move takes away extra tension.

USpecial - Tension Field :
Gearshock's up special is not a recovery move. Instead, it spawns a large field at the cost of 25 tension. While inside the field, Gearshock automatically refills tension. Getting hit will cause the field to disappear. Using taunt will cause it to disappear instantly, and refund all tension used to create it.

Wall Jump :
Instead of jumping off of the wall, Gearshock uses its gear to climb directly up it. This is its main form of recovery. The climb speed is determined by the current tension level. The gear has a hitbox, offering some form of defense against opponents.

Alternate Colors :

Abyss Runes :

I love the small details like not losing tension while taunting and the idle changing with different amounts.

I am also extremely dissapointed that there's no potemkin alt considering the side B...
Of course I am overly exaggerating :P, but I find it funny considering the many GG references. Still, good work, I kinda fell in love with the character.

amazing character, though tap jumping can cheese the tension jumps, so he kinda has infinite jumps, of course I assume this is not intentional, but I find it extremely hilarious nonetheless. I wouldn't know how hard it is to fix but I would greatly appreciate fixing that.
