It is going to eventually maybe someday be a sort of replacement for the hammerhead (2nd from the left). The hammerhead has several flaws: impossible to repair, poorly made armor, outdated targeting software, exposed cargo hold, non-refuel-able, too many moving parts for what it can do, and so on.
