@The solar flare.
It is Theoretically possible because of the QBZ-191's two-piece receiver design, as well as it being modelled after the AR-15, which had its own 5.7x28mm upper receiver that takes P90 mags.

If the QBZ-191 was available on the civilian market I would definitely own one just because of how interestingly sleek it is.
