Nano Shinonome

Nano Shinonome (the character that isn't a robot) from the comedy/slice-of-life manga and anime Nichijou arrives in Rivals of Aether!



Nano tosses her sunglasses-wearing Daruma doll onto the stage. After appearing, it'll create a field- anyone hit in its range will be locked onto for a homing projectile attack after a delay! If it hits a player before becoming active, the delay will be much shorter while sacrificing some speed and strength from the projectile version.

Based on her appearance in the very first episode, Nano will crouch down and explode! This move sends her flying in the inputted direction, but has a high amount of startup. If you land during the active frames, Nano will instead faceplant and slide across the floor.

Nano launches her fist as an angleable projectile. While very active, it'll bounce off of anything it hits and cannot be used again until Nano "picks it up" with a physical hit (or waits long enough). Nano can also hit her Daruma doll security system with this move, causing it to lock onto her instead of an opponent! While she can't get hit by the projectile, other players may be hit in the process.

Nano's primary reaction function, as installed by Hakase, activates. While the move is slow and sends you falling downwards, it spikes and can let you bounce off of other players or off of the Daruma doll to slightly help with her recovery! Also, landing with this move will cause the fist to recoil and bounce into the air.



- All of Nano's strongs have a small flinching hitbox on her key while charging
- Down Air can be held to extend the late hit and hover
- If Neutral Air is held and lands during its active frames, it will continue on the ground and give Nano a speed boost
