Lack of defensive options makes reaching the Heart quite tricky most of the time.
Yeah the character is a glass cannon.
As for balance, yeah this character is really unbalanced. I think the Shadow mechanic is just inherently overpowered. I thought about making it so you lose 2 Max HP upon picking up a Shadow card but that just seems too complex. Would be happy to take suggestions though.
It has strong offensive potential but lacking defense. Beating the heart relies too much on relics.
