It would be cool if there was a version of this that only works for metal (besides Zippy's mod which lags the game a lot)

You should move this script to "autorun/server", or guard the hook "if ent:IsPlayer() then" => if SERVER and ent:IsPlayer() then", otherwise it throws errors on clients and in multiplayer.
