Permanent Blood Rose

Açıklama
Keep the Blood Rose Elixir buff even if you die.

Will work on current saves as long as you still have the buff when you load the game.

Incompatible with mods that change the stats of the Blood Rose Elixir.       



COMPATIBILITY
 • Incompatible with any mod that edits the stats of the Blood Rose Elixir ('stats' entry Potion:Quest_BlackRoseElixir)
(I don't actually know of any mods that edit this stat entry, leave a comment if you find one--or anything else that might be incompatible)

NOTES
 • Because the extra point in memory is temporarily removed when you die, skills in those slots will be unmemorized when you are resurrected. This is a problem I'm working on.
 • You may or may not get an additional status icon after your character is resurrected for the first time after installing this mod. This is something else that I'm working on.
 • Remember that you can always hide status icons at will using LeaderLib.

No rush, the idea of the mod is awesome, and based on the comments it was great, I imagine it may have borked with the added scripting, mayhaps due to updates in the script extender? I didn't exactly look into the code, but from what I could tell from the effect description, it's meant to apply the OG buff, but as it's own permanent variation to circumvent death, though it instead only adds the OG effect for 1 turn instead.
Not sure if that's helpful or even coherent advice/thoughts, eitherway, gl, I hope to see this mod working, it'll be awesome!

Weird, thanks for reporting this, seems pretty critical imo. I do want to get back into modding this game but unfortunately I can't guarantee it'll be anytime soon.

Not sure if you're still going to update the mod, but the buff doesn't seem to work properly, it applies the increase for 1 round then stops. I still have the buff itself, just the actual effect lasts for 1 round worth of time.(Ex Memory of 19, drinks potion, becomes 20 for around, then goes back to normal.) Still have the buff Icon, just no permanent effect.

Not sure what this was conflicting with as I don't have any mods altering it to my knowledge, (Divinity Unleashed maybe?) but it is not working correctly. Makes the Attar buff only last 1 turn, while the buff icon last indefinitely.

Casual modders unite! Although I've been going pretty hard on this game. I'm super proud of the last few projects I finished actually, they were pretty heavy duty.

I'm putting out a new update for this one attempting to address both the double stats and the memory loss issue. Putting it that way, I guess getting knocked out cold could definitely cause you to temporarily forget a skill or two >.>

The memory thing requires the script extender to work, and I haven't tested either of the new parts myself yet -- I'll find some time later today for that.

3rd: Yes, I died several times already, but playing as a solo I had to reload back to a previous save. The exact scenario is during the Alexander fight at the end
of act 1, as I got the potion right b4 that fight and havent died.

Now that you mentioned it, I did notice that I had 2 blood rose buffs when I arrived at the lady vengeance right b4 driftwood, seems like I just haven't connected the dots and that may be the cause of the double buff. What do you think?

Replies:

1st: I figured having screenshots would help with the troubleshooting. It does affect other stats like the dmg numbers, so its not just a visual.

Been a casual modder of several games already and a modder for just myself. So I get how tedious this can be and more info is always welcomed.

2nd: Thats good to hear, Ill check it out when I get back home. The memory is a minor inconvenience as you lose skills mid battle if you get ressed, or so I assume. Playing a solo Lone Wolf char and dont have the Idol of Rebirth yet so havent tested it out yet. Which was why I grabed this mod so I dont have to reload everytime.

Also I just had a thought... You haven't died yet with that character, have you? Because originally I was totally working on the assumption that the consumable effect already had a StackID (I mean, why wouldn't it). And none of my tests would have been after loading a character that already had the potion effect...

So if you hadn't died, and then loaded a saved game with where the potion and mod both were already in effect, I could totally see how it would've given you double stats.

Made a quick update adding a Stack ID to the potion effect in an attempt to at least prevent any duplicate stats. Let me know if that does the trick!

I have another idea I want to try too, and I still want to address the issue with losing memory slots on death, but double stats is a critical issue imo.
