Why does this exist?

Because the control documentation is garbage and I got tired of trying to find a competent controls layout for keyboard and mouse (KBM) controls.

Dude just buy a controller

This is literally posted on every single post ever about KBM controls for Nioh. Don't post that crap here. I don't CARE. This guide is for KBM just move on. Nobody cares how much better you like playing on the controller.

Terms I use in the guide

KBM - Keyboard and mouse
LMB - Left mouse button
RMB - Right mouse button
MMB - Middle mouse button
(A) - All controller buttons are inside of parenthesis.
( >) - This is the symbol for the right facing triangle controller button
(< ) - This is the symbol for the left facing triangle controller button

Notes

- Things separated by a slash (/) means that there are multiple keys that perform that function.

- KBM keys are mapped to controller buttons. Changing the controller layout only changes which action the controller button performs. If you are trying to figure out what a button does, look for the controller button in the list and pick the KBM control for that button. The description is only there for looks.

**1 WASD still controls character movement while gesture menu is open. Arrow keys move the menu selection inside the menu. For other gesture menu functions follow menu controls list.

NOTE:
The controller descriptions listed here are for the make offering screen at the shrine.

Menu controls change depending on which menu that you are currently inside of.
The best use of this guide is to go to the menu you want, look at the in game controller button and use this table as a cross reference.

Thank you very much for your list. Otherwise, I’m tired of constantly looking on the keyboard for what to press. I have a gamepad, but I find it awkward to play on it. I constantly get confused with the buttons, plus, if you play from the keyboard, the camera in the game is more convenient, so I play from the keyboard.
