SENTRY

Sentry: soldier stationed to guard or control access to a place[dictionary.cambridge.org]. It's a rather generic name that fits well with the role of the Recruit[rainbowsixsiege-archive.fandom.com] but defensive version which does not have a unique gadget in his possession. As Mira says in the Psychological report[www.ubisoft.com], defensive recruits are the Swiss army knives[en.wikipedia.org], their versatility justifies their name since they can correspond to almost any role assigned to them.


STRIKER

Striker: Striker is a soldier who secretly moves into enemy territory, launches a surprise attack, and suddenly retreats.[www.rand.org] It's a rather generic name that fits well with the role of the Recruit[rainbowsixsiege-archive.fandom.com], but an offensive version that doesn't have a unique gadget in his possession. Their name is generic probably for the same reason as Sentry, they are versatile, with no identity, just a regular soldier that attacks.


KAPKAN

Kapkan (Капкан) is a Russian operator, if we translate his name into the same language[en.bab.la] we get: trap. Which fits well with his ability to set traps in R6.
TACHANKA

The Tachanka is a type of vehicle[en.wikipedia.org] originating from Russia with a turret pulled by horses. Which could correspond to his previous operator ability which consisted of deploying a turret.
GLAZ

Glaz (глаз) is a Russian operator, if we translate his name into the same language[glosbe.com] we get: eye. Which works well for someone using a sniper rifle. This also comes from his name: Timur Glazkov.
FUZE

Fuze[www.dictionary.com]: a mechanical or electronic device to detonate an explosive charge, especially as contained in an artillery shell, a missile, projectile, or the like. Which is consistent with the agent's ability to place explosive charges on surfaces and detonate them remotely with some sort of electronic remote control.
IQ

At the age of sixteen, she did her first internship in a company specializing in technology, then she specialized in military technological research. BLITZ

Blitz[www.ubisoft.com]: an intensive or sudden military attack. In Dr. Harishva "Harry" Pandey's psychological report, he mentions Blitz as a quick-witted person who likes to put himself on the front lines of the assault[www.ubisoft.com]. This could also be a reference to the German Blitzkrieg[en.wikipedia.org], which is the country of Blitz. The word blitz means lightning[dictionary.cambridge.org], which may refer to the flash his shield can emit.
BANDIT

Bandit[www.ubisoft.com] has a father who was in the police, he strongly encouraged him to join his team. He was so successful in resolving crisis situations that he was assigned to undercover operations. He was first assigned as an undercover agent within a terrorist organization. Bandit's contribution allows the organization to arrest various key members and gain crucial information. During his missions, he specializes in guerrilla tactics and the manufacture of improvised explosive devices. It is also developing prototypes of his electrified barrier. His name simply comes from his situation as a bandit during his police infiltration.
JÄGER

Jäger[www.ubisoft.com] is German, as is the German military term for certain light infantry units[en.wikipedia.org]. He is an aviation enthusiast, hence his style in R6, which could also refer to the "White WW-1 Der Jäger D.IX" [en.wikipedia.org] aircraft from which he could take his name. His name refers to the "HB-5 Cardiac Sensor[www.ubisoft.com]", his gadget that detects enemies' heartbeats. He also enjoys scuba diving, which requires monitoring his heart rate, making it a fun companion to his gadget/name.
CASTLE

In Dr. Harishva "Harry" Pandey's psychological report[www.ubisoft.com], he mentions that the officers often call him "Papa Bear", that he is the social link of the group, that he has a sense of justice to the point that his mission is to protect the weakest. This description of Castle could literally be the definition of his ability, someone who unites a team like the walls of a castle, someone who protects everyone around him as well as someone the whole world can trust blindly.
ASH

Ash[www.ubisoft.com], takes her name from her gadget, the "Breaching Rounds", which allows you to destroy surfaces and therefore reduce them to ashes. This also fits well with her personality in battle: lively and surly, just like gunpowder catching fire.
THATCHER

Thatcher[www.ubisoft.com] comes from the United Kingdom, just like a certain Margaret Thatcher[en.wikipedia.org] who is a British stateswoman, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Smoke [www.ubisoft.com]gets his name from his ability to produce clouds of toxic smoke using his remotely detonated gas grenades. This fits with his skills in chemistry, biology and mathematics as well as his love of scientific experiments.
SLEDGE

Sledge[www.ubisoft.com] is short for Sledgehammer[en.wikipedia.org], which is a kind of hammer but a giant version used on construction sites and also used by Sledge himself.
MUTE

His name literally comes from the fact that he doesn't like to talk to people, which is why people nickname him Mute[www.ubisoft.com]. LESION

Traffic becomes backed up in every direction, which causes complete blockages of other intersections until every vehicle is at a standstill. This fits well with her gadget which looks like spike strips[en.wikipedia.org] which are used to puncture tires during chases, moreover her passion is mechanics[www.ubisoft.com], her name, her logo[en.wikipedia.org] and her gadget are more or less linked to automobile mechanics.
MOZZIE

His logo and clothing style represent a suit[en.wikipedia.org], which is the attire a director might wear on the job.
NØKK

A dangerous, shapeshifting water-spirit in Scandinavian folklore[en.wikipedia.org] known to lure people towards a river or lake and drown them. Nøkk[www.ubisoft.com] is a frogwoman[en.wikipedia.org] in the Jaeger Corps of Denmark[en.wikipedia.org], a marine unit. She has the ability to completely vanish from camera view, relating to the shapeshifting ability of the Nøkk.

GOYO

Goyo[www.ubisoft.com] is taken from the nickname of the Mexican volcano Popocatépetl[en.wikipedia.org], nicknamed Don Goyo, which is his country. They are extremely agile and fast when running. Oryx [www.ubisoft.com]the operator is extremely physically fit, being able to climb through hatches and rush through soft walls. His logo represents an oryx.
MELUSI

A name of Zulu origin, meaning "shepard"[www.babynamescube.com]. Melusi[www.ubisoft.com] serves in the anti-poaching unit with her veterinarian friend from the Inkaba task force and protects endangered wild animals from being hunted by poachers. This gadget acts as a motion sensor that would prevent prey from attacking his herd.
ACE

An Ace is someone who excels[www.collinsdictionary.com] at a certain activity. He is very strong in everything he does, he is arrogant, brash and he only joined the army to reinforce his image as a perfect man[www.ubisoft.com]. With Harry in the role of Rainbow Six and Operators deployed on any given mission from Rainbow One to Rainbow Five, his nickname "Zero" indicates his status not as an Operator but as an operational staff member.

Her name, "Aruni" (อรุณี; Arunī) means "dawn"[rainbowsix.fandom.com]. which refers to the name of the season in which she arrived "Neon Dawn[www.ubisoft.com]" which means the era of neon lights in reference to her gadget which emits lasers[www.ubisoft.com].

FLORES

He worked in the Flores neighborhood of Buenos Aires[en.wikipedia.org], where he was nicknamed "The Man from Flores[www.ubisoft.com]" because of his activities which consisted of robbing the rich and the corrupt and redistributing them to the poor.
THUNDERBIRD

In Nakoda culture, the Thunderbird[en.wikipedia.org] represents a symbol of strength, power and protection, which suits her perfectly as a flight surgeon and helicopter pilot, even her gadget serves to protect her allies. Her name is Mina Sky[www.ubisoft.com], which again refers to the sky.
OSA

Osa is the Croatian word for "wasp"[dictionary.cambridge.org]. This could refer to a metaphor between two things. Merci beaucoup 🙏🏻 pour moi le logo c’est une sorte d’engrenage en forme de serrure, ce qui veut dire « les robots sont la clé de La Défense »

Ou alors c’est une ampoule en forme d’engrenage qui représente Skopos et son génie et les 2 truc symétrique devant représenterais Talos et Colossus, un peu comme leur position sur lartwork, avec un robot de chaque côté. Après il me semble que Skopos apparaît dans d’autre jeux de la license Tom Clancys donc peut être que sont logo vient d’un de ces jeux et que j’ai mal chercher.

Sinon j’ai trouver quelque chose d’intéressant concernant le nom de son arme le PCX-33, qui peut signifier Professeur Charles Xavier des X-Men qui lui aussi est en fauteuil roulant, et ça peut difficilement être une coïncidence quand on sait qu’il y a également un mutant nommé Colossus qui est fait de métal dans les X-men donc voilà je trouvais ces petits détails intéressant à partager.

Skopos est en écriture actuellement ça devrai arriver demain ou après demain pour ce qui est des logos, ne me suis rendu compte que 95% des logos avait pas forcément besoin d’explication ils sont déjà assez clair pour la plus part, pour les logos un peu complexe je compte les ajouter directement dans ce guide ici pour éviter de faire un autre guide en + qui serait un peu vide.
