WARNING FLASHING LIGHTS

Within ten hours of the containment breach, nearly three quarters of the security and research detail at Horzine's London laboratory had been killed. Those who couldn't escape set up makeshift defenses in their dormitories or the labs. A crew consisting of 2 Mercenaries, 2 London Millitary Officers, And 2 London Police Officers were sent in to clean up the mess and kill Kevin Clamley. They succeeded or at least we thought they did after the signal was sent through. But the bastard cloned himself and theres 200 of him spread throughout Europe. Well that doesnt matter to you. You have been sent far underneath a Horzine office to clean up after the mess the crew left.

This map attempts to be a faithful port of Killing Floor 1 Biotics Lab. This map also tries to enhance the look with Unreal Engines 3's improved shadows.

oh, and one more thing, i'm pretty sure this is more a problem with viscera than the map, but i've found that sounds that play through some kind of kismet seem to always play at max volume no matter what, i play with viscera at a specific volume in the mixer so anything that is played through that method is 3 - 4 times louder than the game lol

i assume the periodic loud footstep noises every 300 to 900 seconds exist on purpose and are designed to startle you, evil!

pretty good map overall, i have a bias where i prefer vanilla stuff but this map is pretty cool ngl

would be cool if when you press and hold left click on one of the pieces of paper scattered across the map that it could transform them into one of the crumpled paper models from the base game to make it easier to fill up bins.

you can do that in a way

use a debris event on a paper note in kismet
pick it up to read it left mouse
when you drop it with right mouse on the dropped output of the debris node spawn crumpled paper trash object from the note debris object then very quickly on the dropped output of the debris node with say a 0.1 second delay hook that to a destroy node that deletes the paper note
option to play a scrunch up paper sound on that dropped output too

then one should be able to scrunch up paper notes after ya read em:albedothumbsup:

Perhaps the cane sword in vulcan affair has code that does something like that or something similar?

The main reason I didn't do dismembered bodies is that KF1 doesn't just switch out models; it does a thing where it shrinks bones and attaches a gore model, and that would just be annoying to do over and over again. I am doing another KF1 map, and in that one, I made all of the gibs into objects. I might retroactively add that to this map when that map is done.

The crumpled paper idea I'm not sure there are any default object classes I know of that change model when clicked. Maybe if I find something like that, I can.

Very well done port really like the cinematic opening. One minor thing that is really just more of a nitpick on my part is I think there's a distinct lack of dismembered or headless bodies, which in killing floor is quite odd (But I understand that it would require porting over the dismembered meshes and such which I would assume would be quite the hassle so it's really no big deal lol)

I saw you updated it, adding some of the different zed types and the like, really cool stuff.

Heyo @Ket should be fixed now, had the textures assigned to a texture in a different kf map im making lol. Tell me if it worked!
