This is a pack for picky purists who want the difficulty and feel of the game to remain the same, but don't mind adding an unofficial DLC or two. All of the Vanilla+ packs I saw had mods that made the game easier in some way, or mods that changed too much about the standard Isaac experience. If you want your Isaac to feel like the same game from a few updates into the future, you've come to the right place! So, with this collection, I aim to achieve the following:

1. Polish and improve what already exists in the vanilla game with aesthetic and quality-of-life updates, keeping replacements to a minimum. The game's artwork should be added to, not replaced! (... Unless it's particularly ugly or otherwise broken.)
   
2. Introduce new gameplay opportunities that are well-tested, well-balanced, and in-line with the world and themes of Isaac. This includes new and tweaked stages, enemies, items, and mechanics. No new playable characters will be added, simply because modded characters can't have post-it notes on the character select screen. It sucks, but it sticks out too much for me to make that sacrifice.
   
3. Keep the overall difficulty of the game the exact same, to maintain the sense of accomplishment that comes with earning achievements. This is the most important one for me, as even a slight advantage from mods can make me feel like I'm cheating, and I don't want that!

The mods in this collection are in order! Fixes/APIs/etc. are at the top, then new gameplay additions, then quality-of-life mods & gameplay tweaks, then graphical mods. All sections are alphabetized for your viewing pleasure! (And for mine. Primarily for mine, actually.)

• This collection contains Improved & Reworked Foes, an incredibly well-designed and polished mod which tweaks and overhauls some otherwise-lacking bosses and enemies into more engaging and unique encounters. I HIGHLY recommend you play with this mod, but be warned: you will have to relearn quite a few enemy patterns, which may be discouraging for experienced players. Still, I encourage you to take the plunge and give the mod a try, because it comes with a level of polish and understanding of fun that is scarcely matched on the Steam workshop, or even in the vanilla game.
  
• Discord Advance Rich Presence - Continued is a neat little mod that adds extra details to your Discord status when you are playing Isaac. The mod requires you to run an additional launch parameter, the process to do which is outlined on the mod's page. It is worth noting, however, that such a parameter may open your PC to attacks from other mods--know what you are getting yourself into, and decide yourself if you want to enable the mod. If you don't edit your game's launch options, the mod will have no effect, and will pose no potential danger to your system.
  
• Fanrail has been very active in the comments of this collection, helping me refine the list and identify bugs that I would've otherwise missed. Let this note stand as a token of my gratitude! Thank you!

• The Arcade Cabinets mod, while amazing, is no longer receiving support, and can be quite buggy in certain scenarios. I still recommend it, but be warned that you may experience some weirdness from time to time. I had it duplicate my innate Lil Larva as ???, for example, and had to open the console to remove the extra copies. Retained stat ups from Rock Bottom will also be lost when exiting a minigame. I have had one case where a cabinet removed ALL of my items and changed my character from Lazarus to Isaac--for this reason, I recommend taking a screenshot of your stats and items before interacting with a cabinet, in case something goes awry. Or, just don't play with the mod, and save yourself a potential headache--at the cost of not playing with one of the most fun mods on the workshop.
  
• The Afterbirth Rooms mod contains at least one bugged room, with white bat enemies that don't drop from the ceiling, potentially softlocking your run. Hopefully this mod is updated; until then, you may need to spawn in a Death card to clear it.
  
• cry sets the text of the starting room to English, regardless of your chosen language or character. eyeguy's Character Portraits + does the same to the character select screen, and causes minor visual bugs if English is not your selected language. Neither of these affect gameplay, but it's something to look out for!

I haven't experienced any other bugs yet with these mods, but it's possible you might. If you do, I am very sorry!

28/08/23:

• Antibirth Room Pack (Antibirth Enemies Expansion Pack) was removed and replaced with Antibirth Minus - Antibirth Rooms. Since the latter contains all rooms of the former, I encourage you to uninstall the old one, so as not to have duplicate rooms in your rotation.

07/10/23:

• Ghost Babel - Nightwatches! provided a delightful concept, but ended up feeling far too clunky--and buggy--to be enjoyable in the majority of cases.

12/10/23:

• Champatibility ended up not actually being required to enable Improved & Reworked Foes' champions. Having the mod installed shouldn't effect your game at all, but it's best to remove it just to be safe!
