How to enable Quake 64's CRT filter without using Quake 64

Are you a fellow CRT snob like me and wish that the CRT filter wasn't restricted to the Quake 64 addon? I'll show you the way.

The Setup:
  • Download QuakePatches[github.com] and follow the setup listed
  • Select the Unlock CRT Mode patch (or any other patches at your own risk)
  • Patch the .exe and replace the one in your rerelease folder (be sure to have that backup handy)
  • Launch the game and you should be able to enable the CRT filter in the video settings!
