描述
This mod modifies a lot of environmental particles.

Including, but not limited to:
general destruction, steam, infected vomit insects, the rarely used electricity particles...

Unfortunately, thanks to the way valve packed the particle pcf files, some of the particle files in here also contain fire. But worry not, the fire colors in this mod have been kept the same as the fire overhaul mod.

NOTE:
Most of the particles within this pack have not been changed since the initial release, which was part of this mod:

Modifications or Redistribution of this addon without explicit permission is prohibited.

Do you perhaps have another particle mod, like maybe uriks particle manifest that lists more particle files that are non existant for you?

Cause i checked the most recent vanilla manifest and the only environmental pcf files in vanilla l4d are: environmental_fx, environment_fx_river, environmental_fx_river.

So, your game wants the pcf to be there (which it wouldn't want by default) and can't find it.
Either ways, i'm sure you can ignore it, because it wasn't even supposed to be there by default.
Unless perhaps you're playing custom campaigns that require their custom particle files, which happens sometimes.

Wait I noticed something. The game itself (default) has the file "environmental_fx.pcf" just like your mod has it... but there's no "environment_fx.pcf" in the default game at all. Maybe my error is caused by a different mod.

The game itself doesnt seem to have it, i literally verified the game's files.. still not there. Completely weird. Nah, lets ignore that file, im too lazy to reinstall the whole game...

it would mean it can't load the particle file.
And i have no idea why this error would show up, because tis mod has it. and even if my mod didn't have it, your game has it by default. So there's no reason why this error would show up. (If it was caused by this mod, at least)

I'm getting the error message in the console "missing particles/environment_fx.pcf". Will this be an issue while playing?

yeah uh, this makes me go 10 fps in the passing ggs. Without this mod im getting 100+ fps
