Ark Modding Guide - Nitrado
By Chakti Wala Dumba
This guide will walk you through the steps of installing and running mods on your Nitrado server for the game Ark: Survival Evolved. Before starting, make sure you have access to your Nitrado server's control panel, as you will need this for the installation process.

Step 1: Selecting Your Mod

Go to the Steam Workshop for Ark: Survival Evolved.
Browse through and select the mod you want to install.
Once you've selected a mod, look at the URL in your web browser's address bar. It should look something like this: https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=XXXXXXXXX. Note down the numeric ID part (XXXXXXXXX) of the URL - this is your mod's ID.

Step 2: Mod Installation

Log into your Nitrado.net account.
Navigate to the Web interface of your server: Dashboard -> My Services -> Nitrado server.
Once you're in your server's dashboard, go to the left menu and select "Settings", and then "General".
Scroll down until you see the "Ark Mods (Ids)" section. This is where you're going to input the mod IDs you've gathered.
Enter the ID of the mod you've chosen. If you want to install multiple mods, simply separate the mod IDs with commas. Be careful to avoid any blank spaces.
Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click "Save Changes".

Step 3: Restart Server

After saving changes, it's crucial to restart your server.

Go to the "Dashboard" from the left menu.
Click on "Restart" to implement the changes.
Once you've restarted the server, Nitrado will start to download and install the mods onto your server. Please note that this process can take some time, depending on the size of the mods.

Step 4: Checking Mods

After waiting for a while, you can verify if the mods are successfully installed.

In your server dashboard, go to "Settings" -> "General".
Scroll down to the "Ark Mods (Ids)" section again. Now, next to the mod ID, you should see the name of the mod. This indicates the mods are installed successfully.

Step 5: Configuring Mods (optional)

Some mods require you to modify the Game.ini or GameUserSettings.ini. If your mod requires this, follow the instructions given by the mod author. Usually, this can be done in "Settings" -> "General" -> "Game.ini Settings" or "GameUserSettings.ini Settings".

Remember to restart your server again after making any changes to the configuration.

Step 6: Client Side Mod Installation

Don't forget to install the mods on your Ark: Survival Evolved game client as well. The server mods and your client mods need to match for you to successfully join the server.

Go to the Steam Workshop page of the mod (the same page where you got the mod ID from).
Click on the green "Subscribe" button. Steam will automatically download and install the mod for your game.
And that's it! You've successfully installed a mod on your Nitrado server for Ark: Survival Evolved. Join your server and enjoy the new features your mod brings to your game. Be sure to check the mod's description and any user manuals it comes with for specific instructions on how to use the mod in the game.
