IMO they're great, but not beginner friendly at all. The NSX and silvia (A class road) have weak front ends, and these cars need to be positioned slightly sideways in the corner entry and held like that until the exit. That's not easy to do, but these are good cars to learn these things.
The NSX is really stable after being put in that quick state, but to do that you need to go balls to the wall fast, while the silvia is really squirmy under acceleration and teaches throttle control a lot. And yes, in Mars' streams and videos you can see he's really fucking good at controlling cars like that, so to people who say these tunes suck, git gud.
Really, i don't know if he has a super awkward playing style or what, but when i try any other top tune or meta tune, i destroy everyone online, with any tune from ESV, i am lucky i am not among the 3 last players.
Making my own tunes based on YT SepiSP4 tuning guide has given me vastly superior results and then, some of the tunes in this guide as well.
Go watch his FH5 / FM videos and you'll see that you need to be reborn at least 5-6 times until you reach his driving/tuning level.
