Enhanced Tree Foliage 3

描述
Posting 3 before 2 because there are some flaws with 2. This addon revamps the foliage of the original trees from L4D2 seen in Swamp Fever, Dead Centre and Dark Carnival , pine trees from 7 Hours Later 2 and I Hate mountains, and high definition rocks covered in lichen. This will affect all campaigns. I have done my best to balance and desaturate the colours while still looking really nice and vibrant. Please note all textures are acquire from 4k photos of the actual plants and were painstakingly separated from the background or recreated.

@Rosalene https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3587969712 This trims out the 7 Hours Later pines dropping the file size to 97 mb if on disk. I don't have any of the slow down you mentioned either way, and I probably have more addons. Hope this helps

@Bane, now you've been told about it. Your mod occasionally creates zona where the frame rate drops and causes interference. I've been using your mod for quite a while now and have tested it myself. My observations suggest it's unstable, and the cause is unclear. It can also be triggered by minimizing the game or changing texture quality. I've tried all your mods, but this one is the only one that's causing problems.

@Rosalene Oh? Remove it from public access, so no one else can use it? Not happening. I get none of the issues you mention. What I could do is make a 3.1 and 3.2 that splits it down further.

It looks great, but compared to other mods, this one has terrible performance. Your other mods are fine. Users might not even notice. After a few tests, the game might crash completely, or the frame rate might drop tenfold. Animations and sound break, causing interference. The server recovers after loading a new location. This mod needs to be improved or removed from public access.

This enhanced series has come a long way man, this would be nice packed into 1 single vpk if ever the mod has reached to a final version

@Nelson010491 I have added mipmaps to those two textures. I honestly don't mind the shimmering as mipmapping decreases the quality a bit and makes the leaves look a bit clumped

The main problem with this one is mipmaps when I add mipmaps it tends to make the branches look extremely bare which is why I left them off for this one. I honestly wish there was a good mipmap setting for this texture I'll have another look though

I find the tree leaves have a series shimmering problem in c1m2, 1080p with highest video settings, I tried to change to 2k but not good. Maybe I should lower some settings? I know reshade may have better AA effect but I don't tend to use it all the time. Or there's anything you can optimize? Sorry I don't know much about it. AI says mipmap may relate to it, not sure whether it may inspire you something. A few of your other work seem have similar problems for me, but I haven't tested all of them… Anyway thank you for your work!
