SOVIET CAMPAIGN MISSION 4 - MOSCOW IS BEHIND US! - DIFFICULTY LEVEL: HARD
In the fourth mission we are dealing with the advance of the German troops towards Moscow. We will be the last bastion before the defeat and we will have to hold out to the last man waiting for reinforcements. Initially we will have a fair number of entrenched infantry supported by a single light artillery piece. We will barely have time to supply a few soldiers with weapons and ammunition until the unstoppable hordes of enemies arrive. Our task will be to hold out until the road behind the lines is mined. As soon as we receive the signal we will take up positions across the river in a more complex defensive system with a good number of defenders. By eliminating the enemies we will get points that will allow us to call up more troops, in particular light tanks with which I could fill the gaps in our defensive system. Finally, reinforcements will come to our rescue with the T-34, the KV-1 and KV-2. At this point we can move on to the counterattack. In my case, I preferred to concentrate my forces on the left flank to counter the continuous advance of the Panzers. The recapture of the village will not be easy due to the enemy's 88mm guns and other anti-tank guns but once these defenses are destroyed we will be unstoppable.
