Please do not feel obligatedto play the same way as i do and do not feel insulted or intimidated by the ratings and comments i give, especially as a beginner you should experienvce all the weapons first hand.
Ratings
Melee
Fun [7/10] Power [8/10]
Melee weapons in generall are quite powerfull in this game. First of all because neither Bots not most players know how to handle them right. Run in zigzags to the enemy an stab/slash/or hack them while evading shots. In my opinion a huge factor of the melee weapons power comes from the panic induced by them making the target more vulnerable and potentially less dangerous. Especially for players that are new to the game or have bad aim a melee weapon could be the top choice. Making it in my opinion quite fun at the beginning but less fun relative to playtime.
  • Knife
The knife has an astonishing economical value making it in my opinion the #1 weapon for farming cash.

  • Brass knuckles
High fun value while having far less kill potential.

  • Machete
The machete has a high kill potential and is a fearsome weapon, despite this it has an obvious counterplay mechanic, which makes it one of the weaker items in the top cost class. wich may sound like a negative, but simultaneously makes it more fun to play against and maybe even to play with.

Shotguns
Fun [7/10] Power [8/10]
Shotguns are in general weapons with increadible kill potential in low range situations. Their low range usage, high damage and pellet spray make them a good choice for newer players.
  • Sawed off
    Fun [6/10] Power [7/10]
The sawed off shotguns flaw, which is having only two shots loaded at a time is easily countered by picking a low cost sidearm to finish enemies off if they survived the first two shots.

  • Coachgun
    Fun [9/10] Power [7/10]
The coachgun is the gun for the real gentleman. Its firerate feels slow and having only two rounds without a possibility for a sidearm makes every duell a gamble for your life. Only if you hit both rounds you get the guaranteed kill. The coachgun feels like a well balanced shotgun, which you dont see too often in videogames.

  • Pump action shotgun
    Fun [7/10] Power [9/10]
Having more rounds and a high firerate negates the disadvantages of the previous guns. The Pump action shotgun is a real powerhouse, counterable from medium to large distances or by wearing the wielder down until they have either no ammo or health left.

Revolvers
To me Revolvers play very similar to each other, which makes them quite boring to me. They unite good accuracy with medium to high damage and make the backbone of the FoF arsenal.
  • Remington Army
    Fun [4/10] Power [4/10]
This revolver is my choice if i am looking for a starter weapon which i do not play too often. It has a good range and feels really nice shooting.

  • Double shofield
    Fun [5/10] Power [5/10]
This is just a cheaper, and low damage version of the double peacemaker disscussed below.

  • Double peacemaker
    Fun [8/10] Power [7/10]
This combination to me is the peak of fun i can have with revolvers. the high shooting speed compensates for the damage, now making it easier to burst enemies. The high price of the peacemaker revolvers makes it feel even more powerful.

  • Walker colt
    Fun [7/10] Power [10/10]
Let's address it, the walker colt is really strong, onehitting enemies without headshots makes it deadlier than the pump action shotgun both in low and medium ranges. The drawback of the huge reload speed being only an issue after you shot four people without giving them an option to counter you. Don't buy two of those though, that feels nice, but isnt money efficiant (i think).

Rifles
and bow
  • Bow
    Fun [*/10] Power [*/10]
The bow has unique shot physiques, which make it a lot harder to adapt to it. However, if you get to be an expert with it it can be one of the strongest and most efficient weapons in the game. one hitting people at mid to long range with headshots without needing to reload and having a moderate dps in close combat. The difficult handling makes it quite the wildcard.

  • Smith Carbine
    Fun [6/10] Power [6/10]
The Carbine is the cheapest of the rifles it is quite hard to aim and has a long reload time as well as containing only one round at a time, but it is a headshot onehit. This is a bad tradeoff unless you are a master marksman yourself. That would make the rifle a good option at long and medium ranges. Even a master marksman should have trouble in close range or with more than one enemy attacking.

  • Henry Rifle
    Fun [5/10] Power [8/10]
The henry rifle is the polar opposite of the Smith carbine. A big amount of ammo and a high fire rate make it a great weapon on medium ranges. that said, the damage with one shot is lower. While more ammo makes the gun more user friendly, it also takes some thrill out of the game. This paired with the in my opinion underwhelming visuals make the gun not as fun to play as it could be (my opinion).

  • Spencer Carbine
    Fun [8/10] Power [9/10]
The spencer combines precicion sharpshooting and more than one round to form a rifle that doesnt suck ass. Also its visuals are really nice, so i do like this one.

  • Sharps rifle
    Fun [8/10] Power [9/10]
The sharps rifle as the walker colt onehits people with nearly every hit. Being the only weapon with a scope makes it an insane choice for sharpshooters, though the scope is not a hit guarantee as it behaves quite unique. The downsides of the sharps rifle are numerous: Only one round makes every hit count. A long time to get into the scope makes quickscope defends impossible and good luck trying to hit something without being scoped. In close range every situation is do or die, multiple enemies at a time are sure to overwhelm you and as close range combat is no option with this rifle its all about positioning. A spare pistol or melee weapon would be recommended.

Favourites
Now follow my favourites, distinguished by being the most fun to play, not because of their power but of their feeling alone. also i want to mention Dynamite real quick, i did not forget but ignore, because in my opinion its just a waste.

  • Double Hammerless - "The Uzi of the wild west"
    Fun [10/10] Power [4/10]
What is there to say, but that to of this bad boys combine into a quickfire, low accuracy, low damage, storm of lead. Get into close range and get blasting. Often I empty both revolvers without getting the kill, but that is fine because their sound is enough to satisfy me. They go "pew pew pew" and i feel like i shoot toy guns. Big fun.

  • Mares Leg - "The Fg42 of the wild west"
    Fun [8/10] Power [5/10]
The Mares Leg is just a pistol rifle or something, but it feels awesome. Aside of the visuals being top of their class the weapon feels like a true allrounder. fight people in close range with medium fire rate or snipe them over medium distance where it does not shine, but it feels like it, dont you understand, it feels right.

  • Double Mares Leg
    Fun [8/10] Power [5/10]
    Why not go double?

  • Derringer
    Fun [*/*] Power [*/*]
I actually rarely buy one of those because i never think of it, but i feel like it makes a good choice for an off hand weapon, as it is cheap and should be enough to finish people off, that survived the main assault. Power and fun depending on the combination.
